Incorrect. Most of the Red Army were Ukrainian and Belarussian troops. The Ukrainian and Belarussian fronts were the spearhead of the Red Army in WW2. Russians by comparison are not particularly good warriors. Moscow used to be Finno Ugric Uralic people in ancient times before Slavic conquest and remains predominantly Uralic today.

Whatever happened to the Sumy front? Is that still even a thing? I know Kharkiv front completely failed but that should not stop them from failing in Sumy either.
