I agree with this. Russia will have to carry out a token strike against one of these baltic states in response to western missiles targeting Russia. This will send a message to NATO and that's the only language they'll understand.

There is no way the likes of UK/France/Germany etc will put the lives of their own citizens at risk because of an odd strike on baltic states. If it escalates then we know what the outcome will be.
Just like the Northern European governments and the US are happy for Ukraine to be the sacrificial lamb they will be more than happy for the Baltic states to take a beating too if it means they are out of harms way. That's why Russia should send a strong message through action, its the only language they understand.

If this happens, Russia should hit weapons storage facility in Poland and any other neighbouring country which is arming Ukraine. If Putin doesn't ramp up the escalation ladder as well Nato will get more embolden.
NATO entering the war = Russia getting steamrolled.

There are many ways to make it painful for NATO, such as arming the Houthis that is now busy targeting shipping in the Mandeb strait.

Am sure the Houthis will appreciate having one or two Onyx missile at their disposal.

Just a day after losing a single Su-30SM, Russia received 2x new Su-57 and undisclosed number of Su-35

Macron can't run for president again. He has nothing to lose. He might as well nuke Moscow and make a name for himself as Napoleon 2.0

I think it is the other way around NATO will get destroyed if it enters the fray. They already exhausted all their stock, and not much is left in their arsenal. Russia has a standing army of half a million just for that

Airpower remains the undisputed advantage of NATO. I agree at least on one commentary I read not long ago : Had it not for the threat of mutual annihilation, NATO would've eagerly entered the war on Ukraine's side since day 1 knowing the massive qualitative and quantitative air power disparity between Russia and the combined West.

This is why Ukraine is so eager to pull NATO into the war ASAP, because unless NATO enters, there is simply no way Ukraine could actually win.

What air power? If anything the Ukro-Russo war proved the viability of IAD both sides can't maintain air superiority because of the lethality of SAM. All those magic weapons (atacm, jdam) was defeated by the combination of Electronic warfare and close-range SAM

The Russo Ukrainian war is not the text book example of what a real NATO airpower can bring vs IADS. Look to Desert Storm for that.

The Ukrainian air Force simply doesn't have the necessary tool in the air to defeat IADS and most importantly they don't have the number.
What both sides are doing is at best HADS= Harassment of enemy Air Defense. As both could not systematically disable the air defense of each other to the point where planes are grounded.

Russian land based jamming is not going to survive counter jamming from the air especially against specialized EW planes like the growler.

Also I see you said 'maintain air superiority'. Do you actually know what air superiority means? Air superiority means that one could compel the other into a position of subordination. If anything IADS in Ukraine is only able to maintain air parity, where both sides operate inside the relative safety above the territory they control but could not control how the other operate above their own airspace.
