No, Putin invaded Ukraine because it wants to be an independent state aligned with the West and reject Russian oppression which it had suffered for decades under Soviet rule and corrupt Russian puppets like Yanukovych.

These IRBM with MIRV just need to deliver a few dozen kilo tons of TNT per warhead (forget anything else just TNT and the speed of impact wud be enough) and the place it wud be targetting will be gone for the foreseeable future... 6 warhead per missile and half a dozen missile and you can kiss bye bye to strategic places at Kiev, summy, kharkiv or odesa or any other city in Ukraine.
Add a thermobaric warhead and you are talking of catastrophe of a magnitude that this war has not seen so far.

Russia has attacked Ukraine with thousands of missiles since the start of the war. They have no room for escalation outside of nuclear weapons.

The US has been pouring tens of thousands of weapons and millions of rounds of ammo into Poland just across the border from Ukraine. Putin could have attacked that airport a long time ago.

He doesn’t because he knows the US military will annihilate his military. The US military is not Ukraine.
