First of all. What have that had to do with Russia lack of Progress? You lost equipment in war, that nothing new, all those equipment we had already lost in Afghanistan or Iraq, we even lost a stealth Blackhawk in Pakistan in that Bin Laden raid too, I am pretty sure China have already had a look at it.

On the other hand, if you want to reverse engineering tanks and artillery, well, you can, I mean if you are that stupid and can't figure out how a 4-million-dollar tanks work and have to reverse engineer from someone else, that did say a lot with your own military manufacturing capability. Doesn't it?

And finally, losing a tank and being trained to operate a tank is not the same thing, I was on a T-72 some time ago, I have no idea how it work. And even if I give you a M1 Abrams, and I didn't tell you anything on how it work and which frequency to tune into, even if I unscramble all the code, it will still take you months, if not years to figure out how to work, if at all. You have no idea what you are talking about. So if I were you, I would probably stop it here.
