Putin sets to win the next election. He will push Russia deeper into isolation, deeper into dependency of China. Putin is much like a rat in a corner there is no escape he will take down Russia with him.

Regardless, Russia is highly dependent on China for the foreseeable future. Russia has no high tech industry. China does. Russia export gas to China in exchange for high tech industrial products.
You can think of Russia compared to China === Canada compared to the US.

USSR had developed lots of things.
In contrast Russia under Jelzin, Medwedew and Putin is just shadow because they are ruled by dumb stooges they do nothing. Russia army lives on military hardware from the Soviet Union. Russia today can do the same as in the USSR. It has Hightech, they have people. They have resources. They have lands. They have everything. But they waste much of their time on propaganda and building gulags.

Russia has decayed since 1991 end of Cold War. Now Russians are morally corrupt. Lazy. Undisciplined. Cowardly. Russia now relies on China for all consumer products. That's fine. In turn, Russia exists as a buffer for China and keeps US military bases away from China's borders. Win win.

yes China profits the most from Russia. cheap propadanda, cheap russian gas and cheap market for overpriced chinese products are unresistable. but the minus is China relationship to US, EU and the west is damaged beyond repair. then chinese silkroad to Europe over Russia is dead.
Ccp will calculate when the pain will reach climax, when the benefits with Russia fall below the loss with the west. I think as long as Xi Jinping or Putin is alive nothing will change. I just hope they don´t nuke each other.

Russia is seriously messed up right now! Pootin's already looking for the edge of the table to cling to. A financial aid package of $60 billion is substantial and Congress now needs to follow suit.
In addition Ukrainians have also sunk another Russian ship. Looks like the Russians might end up with no navy real soon.

You have to hand it to Ukraine, for a country with no navy they’ve beaten the dogsh*t out of the Russian Black Sea fleet. At this rate there won’t be a Black Sea fleet in a few years.
