Russia-Ukraine War - News, Discussions & Updates

I think it's disturbing how many here seem to be secretly hoping for a nuke strike on Ukraine.

It's just the thrill of watching two opponents fighting, like the football hooligans support two teams and take great pleasure in their team winning as well as the thrill of the game itself. Unfortunately, many of them want to see this as spectators without any concern for the lives of millions of people. These same people want also to see a China vs US war, India vs Pakistan war and so on.

People don't understand America is a bully and uses its allies to bully others. Russia and china being in power puts the world in balance. I don't want to see Russia losing like that. Although Russians have history of losing and coming back hard. I have sympathy for Ukrainians but not its govt led by a clown and whose a probably a Jew. But I would never want Russia to be forced to use nukes. We all know its not Ukraine fighting but NATO.

Your idea is too simple, we need crude oil and natural gas, the West sanctions Iran and does not let us buy Iranian crude oil, the West sanctions Russia and does not let us buy Russian crude oil, the West sanctions Venezuela and does not let us buy Venezuelan crude oil, the West encircles China, threatens to blockade Malacca, prevents us from importing crude oil from Arabia, and China will not develop? China is a big manufacturing country, do you know how much crude oil it needs? If you want to give up your rights to please those foreigners? China has not been able to kneel down since 1949. China has a population of 1.4 billion and needs its own space for development, and we have never interfered in other people's internal affairs, nor have we ever been in any war.
What do you expect? the west would not wage sanctions on Russia if Putin had not invaded Ukraine. I tell you from my understanding. like you and most people they fail to understand though. the problem is not Ukraine itself, Putin threatens Europe ´s existence. If just Ukraine then Europe would be more relax.
China has options to buy oil and gas from other countries.

An episode of combat use in Ukraine, the Russian helicopter Ka-52. In the video, the Ka-52 helicopter fires from a 30-mm 2A42 cannon at a Ukrainian drone. The location of the shooting is not reported, the model of the Ukrainian drone is unknown.

The fault rests with Putin!
Plain and simple He initiated it and then dragged it along...
His original gambit was to browbeat Ukraine into submission. He ventured with less than desired force and without understanding the extent to which the joker would go...
He misread the room again in assuming either west will facilitate a deal, dither or just run out of steam. He always second guessed himself perhaps key decision makers... I know the Russians were running mad, not understanding the logic in staying the course when it wasn't providing results... not fast enough or simply drag.
Now after this... ones that were for taking a harder approach towards Ukraine must be feeling emboldened and the rest embarrassed.
The joker simply threw his whole state under the bus KNOWING HE CANNOT KEEP UP THE ESCALATION WITH RUSSIA! And Russia for all it's faults didn't go full retard on Ukraine... perhaps because Putin presented some weird principled approach logic to this conflict... in keeping this as some sort of a policing operation.

Well it no longer is... Now what?
Either Europe backs down and says this wasn't us, back out or just double down and eat what is coming...
I don't know how Russia reconciles with this...

That's also what I was thinking, as Russian delegates too were quiet in yesterday's dialogue/ talks..

This silence is not without a cause, Russia doesn't have anything left in it's arsenal other than you know what...

yeah they were overwhelmed by the attack ! Using nukes takes a lot of courage but at the moment its the only option otherwise Russia is in for a long attrition war for years to come which its ailing economy cant take..... dont think Putin will use the nukes though it will e just few attacks on Ukrainian cities and everyone will declare victory!
How about a few low yield ones on the Frontline, a little deeper inside, so that own troops maybe spared to some degree?

this meeting series in Turkey is just a russian circus show. Putin only sends dumb stooges. Putin insists on his demand of Ukraine surrender before any ceasefire. forget peace. the russians dream of peace of millions of dead bodies.
This war can only be stopped either Ukraine army kills off all the russian solddiers and russian military capabitities, or
the western can bankrupt Russia, making all russians poor and desperate.

I think it's the other way round.

Putin wants good relations with Europe but Europe has been too much under US control. The US wants Europe and Russia to fight.
that´s a big problem if someone like Putin spend too much time watching fantasy television. one is reality, the other is parallel universe.

Footage of the strike of the Russian Iskander-M ballistic missile, 9M723-K5 with a cluster warhead, on the Ukrainian military training ground Novomoskovsky, near the settlement of Gvardeyskoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine. It is worth noting that this is the second strike on this training ground. The training ground housed a tent camp of the 158th and 33rd brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. As a result of the Iskander-M missile strike, about 75 servicemen were killed, the Ukrainian army reported 12 fatalities, and the commander of the Ground Forces of Ukraine, Mykhailo Drapatiy, decided to resign.

KARACHI: The government of Sindh has digitised all land record and maps of all estates of SITE Limited and Sindh Small Industries Corporation all over the province including Karachi, Nooriabad, Hyderabad, Kotri and Sukkur and now all services including no-objection certificates, permissions and transfers will be available online.

Caretaker Minister for Revenue, Industries and Commerce Mohammad Younus Dagha on Friday launched the digitisation and online services project for the Industries Department, called E-services Sindh mobile app, in the presence of industrialists, diplomats and government officials.

Now, applicants will not have to come to government offices or wait for action on their applications indefinitely. The new system fixes time limits on officials for the disposal of applications.

The two departments that have developed the app and are offering their services online are the Board of Revenue and the Industries Department. Dagha called it a historical day for governance in Sindh.

Under E-services, the monitoring system will help in performance accountability of officials and improve the ease of doing business. The system provides for online applications as well as delivery of documents through courier services, eliminating human interaction in the entire process.

Dagha said that Sindh had taken a big leap forward by implementing the modern e-governance system in the Industries Department, which would pave the way for other departments to follow.

E-services will reduce the unnecessary hassle for the applicants taking rounds of government offices for petty works.

Dagha said that the most important features of the system were security of government record, especially the land ownership record, which had become prone to manipulation and tampering.

Now, the record will be available online, bringing transparency and security of record to these organisations.

He said the system would require some time to mature and hoped that the elected government would further strengthen and improve it in the coming months. He disclosed that E-services would also be launched in all offices of the Revenue Department in the coming days. Trade Development Authority CEO Zubair Motiwala termed it a much-awaited step for making improvement in the investment environment of the province.

We’re all just hoping it doesn’t come to the nuclear option. Long live humanity!
Still, we’re on edge, facing yet another potential disaster.
