Russia - Ukraine war part ll. News and Discussions

Reading this comment brings 'out of touch' to mind.

USA might remain untouched but this war has a couple of results and consequences for both sides.

Russia is not only testing its new weapons but also they got rid of Soviet era junks and upgraded their new achievements according to battle experiences.

Russian side has also lost manpower. Point is the country is getting battle hardened against a front composed of multi national terrorists, mercenaries, Ukrainian army and NATO supplyline.

If the war ends the way Russia desires, Europeans will be shitless scared of Russians.

It will cost USA dearly, since American side will surely lose EU's faith and trust. Europe will try to gain full independence from Washington militarily and economically. It is not a good result for the empire.

Ironically, USA has never fought against a regular army for a long time and its forces are not battle hardened. Unlike Russia that fights lonely against a NATO supported stooge.
Already biggest gain for russians is reshaping their supply chains and self sufficiency of their industry if they manage to further polish and sophisticate it in more advanced areas then it would be greatest victory for them.

Russia receives support from China, Iran, India, North Korea and majority of western haters. How you call them?
Putin’s goal of this war is stealing territory of Ukraine.
After Ukraine he will steal next countries.
A thief will never stop until he is stopped by force.
As for Trump’s anerican first, he doesn’t care of millions of Russians and Ukrainans dying. Nato is a military fantasy. Trump has said it multiple times. Time for Europe to wake up.
Something does not add up in this calculation if he is just land grabbing hungry why he did not try to reclaim it from others former soviet republic countries too?
All russians ever wanted that their super powers status inherited from soviet union has to be respected and that their national interests wont be compromised, i would say ukraina was their red line and west was rude and blind about it.

How Russia becomes the biggest country on earth? Seems you missed the news.
Let see. the russians took lands from Japan, China, Mongolia, Sweden, Finland, Poland, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldau. The Russians want superpower status? How about work harder? Why not make electric cars? Why Russia gdp is about Spain or Italy? Putin wastes too much on wars and propaganda.

Defeating nazis and their collaborators is reason why they expanded after wwII in most cases you mentioned.
Legacy of that, 5000 nukes and biggest squares state on planet earth earns itself that status, economy is irrelevant for that kind of posturing in geopolitical arena.

“Search and kill”
Ukraine army still control the center of Pokrowsk. It’s special units copy the great idea from the US army in Vietnam war. Primitive killing.
A question for you:

To carry out counterattacks in an urban setting, Ukraine needs infantry to clear the city of Russians. Given their manpower shortage, how much do you think they have available to do this? Do you really find the claim from the AFU General Staff and the 7th Corps that they are systematically clearing the city plausible?

A Ukrainian FPV drone attack on a Russian unit of the Novorossiysk Guards Mountain Airborne Forces unit is repelled. The video was filmed in the Orekhiv area of the Zaporizhzhia region. In the video, a Russian assault group is seen moving toward the fortified line in a pickup truck. When the Ukrainian drone appears, the group opens fire on it with small arms.

A question for you: how could the Talibans hold the Soviet army and eventually collapse the USSR? You are too narrow minded that’s a problem.
Ukraine just needs to hold on 3 more years by then Trump is retiring. 10 more years Putin is too old to continue.
Latest news: Putin begins to sell out Russia gold reserves to keep the war going.

Not a good comparison. Russia took Donetsk in 2014 is more like WW2 when Germany took Paris in 1940.

It's not about land but it's about punishing the rioters who tried to kill Yanukovych.

Hahahahahahaha

Ukraine will go bankrupt long before Russia; the Russians are a long way from a financial and economic collapse:

NBC News, citing sources:At a meeting with Ukrainian officials in Kyiv last week, US Army Secretary Dan Driscoll said that Ukrainian troops were facing a difficult situation on the battlefield and would inevitably suffer defeat at the hands of Russian forces. Driscoll told them that the Russians were increasing the scale and pace of their air strikes and that they were capable of fighting indefinitely. The situation in Ukraine would only get worse over time, he continued, and it was better to agree to a peaceful settlement now than to find themselves in an even weaker position in the future. "The message was basically this: you are losing and you need to accept the deal," one of the sources said. Driscoll's message came after he presented a US-backed peace plan. The US delegation also stated that the American defence industry would not be able to continue supplying Ukraine with weapons and air defence systems in the quantities necessary to protect the country's infrastructure and population.
