Russia - Ukraine war part ll. News and Discussions

The two sides enter a temporary truce, allowing everyone some time to rest and catch their breath—only to resume the conflict once a suitable opportunity arises.
Not going to happen.

The SMO was forced by NATO actions and those of the Banderite Ukrop nationalist regime in its forced Ukrainisation (and outright murderous repression) of its Russian-speaking citizenry. The Kiev Regime, with its EU/NATO backing and its banderite ideologies, is an existential threat to Russian security and its continued existance will no longer be tolerated. The Kiev Regime will be eradicated and replaced with a friendly regime of pro-Russia Ukrainians, approved by Russia, backed by Russia, secured by Russia.

There will be NO CEASEFIRE. The West has pursued this gambit since before the 2004 Orange fiasco, has steadily escalated throughout, and is now using Ukropistan as a proxy to launch drone attacks on Russia. Everything the Russian nationalists said has come true - the West is hostile to Russia, cannot be trusted, cannot be reasoned with, and is agreement incapable (as proved by Minsk 2 accords being so flagrantly violated). It represents an existential threat and the only effective counter is to inflict a military, geopolitical and geoeconimic defeat upon it, and above all, to restore deterrence in the minds of these weak stupid pygmies that rule the EU aka the Prison of Nations.

US and EU "leaderships" can go to hell if they think that Russia will stop now. These morons gloat whenever the odd drone manages to slip through the Russian IADS and hits something to make a photo op with fire & smoke, grinning like fools as they openly fantasize about destroying Russias economy or collapsing the state. Do they really think that while they telegraph their intentions and openly attack Russia, the Russians will simply accept a pause to hostilities and allow the Collective West to rearm and rebuild a Banderite-controlled Ukraine for a future round of conflict? Not gonna happen. Not now. Not ever. The Kiev Regime will end as did the Austrian painters regime did in May 1945.

Either support Ukraine in full and give them what they need to send the Russians packing or cut them off in their entirety and let them die.
The former is simply impossible, no matter how much (borrowed or stolen) money the West sends to the Kiev Kleptocrats.

The later is the only option if the West wants to limit the hard damage from this unmitigated failure. The loss of prestige and hegemony is aleady a sunk cost, nothing can be done about that, but they can act to stop a drowning banderite regime from dragging them down further. Unfortunately for them however, the (real) elites of the EU have already commited themselves to their attempt to break Russia and don't have a reverse gear. Europe is declining, both in relative and absolute terms, and they desperately need to reinflate their old colonial explotative models to reinflate their wealth and collateral. The only way to expand is Eastwards, and Russia/Belarus is in the way.

And now here we are, what, over 4 years later, and we're back to underwriting the aggressor's war on a neighbor all because we entered into a war on behalf of a nation that seems to know nothing but war since its inception without full appreciating the global effects of that action.
Russia is not an agressor. She sat quietly on the sidelines for almost 8 years while the Kiev Regime made war against Donbass rebels in order to crush the last organised resistance to the Banderite takeover orchestrated by the Collective West in 2014.

The West signed the Minsk 2 accords which would have ended the conflict and returned Donbass to Ukrainian control, in exchange for observance of the rights of Russian-speakers, limited autonomy for Donbass oblasts, and a federalisation of Ukrainian political system. Minsk 2 was ratified unanimously by the UNSC. The Regime refused (predicatably) to comply and the Eurotrash co-signatories refused to deliver on their obligations. Merkel and Hollande have both since admitted publically that there was never an intention to dleiver Minsk 2, and it was only signed to gain time to allow the West to arm and organise Ukraine so they could impose a military solution.

Russia finally got involved in a real way in Feb 2022 (prior military assistance and advisers to the Donbass rebels 2015-2022 was minor compared to massive Western assistance, and was certainly no "invasion") only becuase Ukraine was preparing for a massive assault against Donbass. The West had engineered a situation which forced Russias hand, deliberatly raising the bar and increasing the provocations until open conflict broke out.

I think its very clear who the agressor here is, and it ain't Russia.

BTW why would you think that Ukraine "seems to know nothing but war since its inception"? It became independent in 1991 and was at peace for 23 years until we engineered the Maidan coup and violently overthrew the elected government in 2014. The Kiev regime initiated the ensuing civil war (for that is exactly what the conflict was) and Russia only entered the fray 8 years later...

Russia has murdered tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilians and intentionally targets them.

The Iran school was built on Iranian cruise missile base and was a mistake. The US doesn’t intentionally target civilians, Russia does. Thats the difference here.
Sorry, but that is propaganda nonsense and nothing but pure projection. The civlian toll from this conflict, as lamentable as it is, is very small compared to the scale of the conflict and the tremendous firepower that has been unleashed. Compared to past (American) conflicts where civilian (mostly brown people) deaths are ignored, this conflict shows a crystal clear effort by the Russians not to inflict unnecessary civilian deaths. Most Ukrainians are Slavs, especially in the conflict zone, and Russians don't want to slaughter their own ethnic kin.

Blah blah blah your silly attempt to excuse the Minab double-tap strike. It was a mistake??? Really??? It was a planned and delberately executed hit. Maybe you'd like to blame AI? Ukrops hit a school residence in Starobilsk killing 21, but they lied and said the target was a Rubicon control center. Zionists also routinely hit schools and hospitals and regurgitate the same sad tired stupid tropes. i'm sensing a pattern here...

The US killed somewhere between 12-15% of the population in North Korea, and left no building over two stories standing in virtually the entire country. They killed ~250k people in Japan in May 45 by fire-bombing the residential suburbs of Tokyo. Lets not forget Nagasaki and Hiroshioma. I suppose the US was not targetting civilians here either?

Somewhere along the line the penny will drop and you will realise that the narratives you have been fed by USGov, US culture and US elite-owned MSM are a pack of LIES. The US lied through its teeth in the past (the historical record proves it) and the leopards have not changed their spots since.

Russians moving back in to clear out the now-exhausted and tapped-out Azov 3rd. Biletsky and his boys had their fun, advancing into Russian fire and trading their lives for transient control of diffcult terrain. Now the correction begins

Bud, you are in for a severe disappointment... :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
Putin can’t win this war against Ukraine by conventional means. He had the chance in the first days of the invasion but he blew up. As it stands today Putin seems ready to sacrifice 5-10 million Russians for a long war. That’s it. Your emo laughing won’t change anything.

Russia is clearly the aggressor.

What you just described was an internal matter to Ukraine. Russia intervened on behalf of the rebels.

Thats hilarious... you think Putin was trying to conquer Ukraine when the initial SMO force was only ~90k combat troops? :ROFLMAO:

Competent military planners and experienced officers know taht you can'y take down Ukraine 2022 with such a small force. Putin accepetd the advise of hs own people (a faction of them at least) that convinced him that a short intervention would bring Kiev to the table and a long term solution could be found. If it wasn't for NATO intransigence then it would have worked, but our elites wanted their war and they were not about to let a little thing like diplomacy and compromise from getting in the way.

Putin "seems ready"? I don't think your personal perceptions, flawed as they are, is any kind of authorititive indcation on what Putin and his General Staff is planning, or what the vast majorirty of his nations public are now demanding.

Yes, my laughing emoji won't change anything, and neither will the legions of Western scribblers pumping out absurd narratives or the frenzied hatred oozing out of chimpanzees like Kaja Callous or Ursula Fond-of-Lying. Be that as it may however, I shall continue :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::cool:

Interesting... so when the West blows the bejeesus out of a small nation and justifies that as R2P (Responsibility to Protect) then it is OK to intervene in a soverign states internal conflict on behalf of rebels (ie Kosovo to support the UCK/KLA narco-funded terror gang in its violent irredentist agenda, or Libya to support AQ & assorted Islamist nutbags to impose jihadist rule and loot the nation) but when Russia does it to defend fellow ethnic Russian slavs from nearly 8 years of attack by a fascist coup regime (backed by the West) then that is "aggression"...

I suppose you don't think that the US invasion & occuption of Iraq was agression, or that the slaughter of so many Iraqis was not a war-crime? Even the densest of uneducated high-school dropouts don't believe in hidden WMDs or complicity in 911, so how was it justified? How about the unprovoked attacks againt Iran? In neither cases could the US point to any attacks against themselves or treaty allies.

If Russia is considered to be the "agressor" in moving in to stop a 7+ year civil war in a neighbouring country against their own ethnic kin, then by that standard the US is vastly more deserving of this title.

South Vietnam maybe... thats not NVA kit.

Not sure the relevence to a Russia-Ukraine thread?
US soldier, photo taken and published by a US reporter.

The point is, the USA conducts war far more brutally against civilians than others. And gets away with it.
