Post attack induction as well in 2012

Yes, so maybe confusion as to these planes, were they part of orginal order or replacements from the attack.

Scramble is usually reliable and its states a total of 10 delivered. We lost one in an accident off the coast and 2 in the attacks. Leaving 7. I think if we had replacements we should have 9 active, but Scramble only lists 7

Nope, they did not, despite having quite a few surplus ones due to P-8 inductions

We did received 2 after the attack:

Discussion derailed needlessly on conspiracy theory tossed by a member that Pakistan attacked a US / NATO base using taliban / haqqanis and so US attacked and destroyed our PC3s as a response or the other way around lol. This makes zero sense. We'd never dare in our right mind to attack US base especially during those times. Also US could twist our arm in million other ways more effectively then doing all the effort of staging mehran base attack. They could have just put economic pressure anytime they'd want. Its way more effective. The conspiracy theory holds no ground. Haqqanis could be using our land but they never were our foot soldiers. and as for the US, a super power with gigantic influence over Pakistan, really don't need to stage terror attack to tame us. And how it would change our behavior in US favor ffs ? because as far as we are concerned, the attack was done by TTP. Why and how its gonna change our "supposed" relationship with Haqqanis? Just plain stupid conspiracy!

Its super obvious / common sense who was behind that attack. The same ones who's submarine got detected and photographed by PC-3s in 2019.

If I remember correctly those were part of original order not the replacement

Every special platform has one jet which is reserved for 'training' or airframe familiarity and after a while it gets added to the VIP pool.

IIRC, we already had 6 airframes instead of 10, so why send one more to VIP? Doesn't PAF have enough already?

PAF does not have Lineage specific pilots. So not sure if it is handed over to PAF by PN

Could this be the inkling of PAF opting for Lineage specific platforms for AEWC and other special roles....??
They are quite hard to find. I don’t believe it is still in production. We have been scavenging around for airframes. Only 6 have been procured against demand of 10.

Do we know if this airframe was actually a PN bird? PAF may just have chosen this and dumped the A319 it uses for VIP if it knows PN will soon have a decent sized fleet?

PN main issue with the Lineage 1000 is the availability of running spares & consumables. Embraer has marked the PN Lineage as a military aircraft which causes issues when the PN wants to buy spares and consumables from the open market as the aircraft registration is no longer as a civilian platform. This problem will also continue to haunt PN for the additional converted LRMPA platforms in the future unless PN comes to a workable deal with Embraer itself.

Maybe that could be the reason of handing over the first Lineage 1000 as a VVIP transport is to perhaps label it back into civilian registry.

The situation remains confusing however as the pilots flying the Lineage 1000 remain from PN

It’s a PN bird.

In the grand scheme of things, the Embraer Lineage 1000E is not that expensive a plane and another can be procured by PN quite easily(they seemed easy to locate my on searches for those on sale). They were $55million new, so second prices would be favorable.

I am not sure about the logic of needing another VIP platform, but I suspect it has more to do with the "entourage" of hangers on that follows the PM on his travels needing more space than anything else ?

Additionally, having the PM and Army Chief on the same plane travelling is a bad bad idea.
