I think it's a good call. China has the brains and the world's biggest industrial facilities. Maserati has history and prestige. Win win for both. China was able to turn Volvo around and save it from the dust bin of history. China can do the same for Maserati.

The only reason Maserati was put back on the map was one of the women from the TV show Desperate Housewives owned one. Before that it was notorious for being unreliable junk...like an Alfa Romeo and had incredibly low sales.
