A tourist from Texas said he was spooked when a wolf trailed him for more than 10 minutes in Yellowstone even after he blasted it with bear spray two times. "It's like it's his dog! Dude, he's got to be scared," said another tourist who filmed the event.

The wolves are no threat.

One afternoon, I awoke from a nap against a log deep in the Smoky Mountains to find a rare red wolf had been watching me. That experience was awesome as we simply watched and studied each other.

Last year, I let a hobo and his wolf sleep on my front porch. The wolf didn't even bother my cats.
