The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) wishes to advise customers and residents that a reported wastewater overflow at Sekoula Place, Laucala Beach, has been attended to and resolved by WAF's operations team.
Following an investigation, WAF confirmed that the overflow was caused by a blockage in the wastewater network resulting from clothing that had been illegally dumped into the wastewater system.
This is the second such incident recorded within the past five days, with both cases linked to the improper disposal of foreign objects into WAF’s wastewater infrastructure.
