They think the Iraqi Army and PMU are like the SAA? If there's a Syrian HTS government invasion of Iraq with Turkish support,the YPG will unite with the Iraqi Army and allies,supported by Iran. With little heavy weapons left in Syria,the new government will be chewed up. Even some of Iraqi Kurds might fight.

SAA was strong army, the reason they lost is due to 10 years of sanctions, foreign sponsored terrorism, they simply ran out of fuel to fight a long battle. Turkey also spent billions on development of their controlled areas, influenced millions of Syrians who left Syria, this slowly reduced the regime influence. GCC is also involved, HTS is their ally and SNA is Turkish ally otherwise GCC would never accept Turkish influence in Syria, they even banned MB due to this, and toppled governments due to close links with Turkey. Iranian influence in Iraq will be reduced with joint shia sunni alliance, those who want to be close to GCC Usa and Israel, the plan just needs abit more time.

Türkiye newspaper reported, quoting unnamed sources, that Türkiye may build two military bases in Syria and publish "F-16" fighters in the near future.
According to the newspaper: "Turkey and Syria will sign a joint defense agreement, according to Arab sources. Under the agreement that is expected to be signed soon, Ankara will help Syria if Damascus faces a surprise threat."
The Turkish forces will also train the Syrian army and its pilots, and it will establish two military bases in Syria, deploy 50 F-16 fighters until the construction of the Syrian Air Force is completed to prevent any attacks on Syria.
The newspaper also stated that the new Syrian administration asked Turkey drones, radars and electronic warfare systems to control the border with Israel.
The newspaper pointed out that the first delivery of drones may take place in the near future.
The American newspaper "Washington Post" has recently reported that Israel is building military bases in the buffer zone in the Syrian Golan Heights.
