Can someone give me an unbiased update about the situation in Syria after the fall of Assad so far? I thought Assad was the bad guy
Thank you
He was, and was kicked out of the country along with his Iranian backers thankfully. There are still some Assad loyalists and gangs/militias still fighting and agitating the newly forming Syrian state, the situation is still very fragile and fluid, the country is still not really that secure or stable, its only been 6 months since a 13 year civil war has somewhat ended (although there is still a Kurdish militia faction under US control occupying the east of the country).
You can also bet Israel and other intelligence are doing their best to arm criminal factions and supporting them in order to keep Syria in a state of weakness, infighting, and insecurity. Its hilarious that the same Assad partisans, and his Iranian and Shia sectarian supporters were all claiming Al-Sharaa (Jolani) as being a Zionist and an Israeli supporter just because he dared fight against their favorite brutal oppressor Assad, the same regime that terrorized us for 50 years straight, and dismissed all our suffering like it means nothing, is now being bombed. They literally have to do mental gymnastics to try to justify supporting their Assad tyrant. And now that he's being bombed by Israel all the sudden, that BS propaganda narrative is being shattered. It should really tell you what their true motive is in propagating those lies constantly, anything to support their beloved dictator goes, no matter how non-sensical.
And ofcourse to those Iranians and non-Syrian, it literally means nothing to them that millions of Syrians have died, been tortured and displaced from their homes for 5 decades, why would they care if we were are the ones being brutalized, its not their families and relatives after all, so they will keep on lying and gaslighting to you how Assad being overthrown is actually really bad for Syrians and its future, and things are so much worse now and how this was all just a Zionist master plan. Don't buy their BS propaganda, you'll hear it a lot from foreigners, especially Iranians that are still sour their favourite butcher was kicked out of power and now they don't control our country like they used it. They are more than happy to sacrifice millions of Sunnis and Arabs to extend their power and leverage outside their borders, no matter the cost to others. But if you expect them to actually fight Israel directly and suffer losses at home themselves, well lol, they aint gonna last much before they immediately cry for a ceasefire. They're willing to sacrifice everyone else for their power struggle, just not themselves.
