The only people that lost from Isis was the legitimate rebel opposition
Agree with this part definitely also believe when Isis came into the fold it threw bashar a life vest kept him afloat.
Turkey and Israel are seemingly the two biggest winners Israel has taken more land land made an even bigger buffer that jolani forces can’t cross and turkey has so far prevented the mostly peaceful prosperous Kurds from declaring a nation(which I agree they shouldn’t it should be a untitled Syria for all)
Also Syria is still not united and I don’t think the Kurds are going to even think about it unless they receive something beneficial to them.
I think in the short term things are generally going to get worse. Whether Turkiye can turn the tide in the long run will depend on her domestic developments. You can't win this war without your own technology.
For much of the previous thousand years it was Turkish might that kept the Europeans out, it was Turkish might that first removed all the crusaders from the region under Sultan Baybars. If I had to gamble of all the ethnic groups in the middle east, its will probably be the Turks to remove them in the future. But if Turks fail, i don't personally see arabs, kurds, iranians or any other group being able to do it. If Turks fail most likely the entire region in the long run will come under anglo-american/zionist domination.
