The Iraqis did cross over the border in large numbers and so did Hezbollah but there was just no way they could stand against such a storm from the north. HTS 120.000 and SNA 100.000 armed to the teeth that is in total 220.000 forces armed to the teeth.

They had jammers, drones, night visions, everything and they fought in a way the SAA didn´t use to which is softening their positions first with drones and even the Russians said they haven´t seen drones used that effectively.
Every time you post, you lose more credit. What's with the fictional numbers and super high-tech gear? What are your sources?

You know why they won? For three simple reasons:

1.The SAA were ordered to retreat in most key points
2.The SAA and allied militias had become demoralized and depleted of manpower, the majority being conscripts
3.The Russians and Iranians were not going to support this anymore,as they all sought a way out of it,including the government apparently.

Assad's army was mostly conscripts, whom after fighting on multiple fronts were pretty much depleted in both morale and equipment.
Ah,we wrote the same thing,I just saw your post 😂

A 50% split of revenue on such a small kurdish population - seems like they got the best end of the deal given they were facing military defeat.
The government was so stubborn they couldn't have achieved that in not just 13 years of war,but in 30 years. They had no flexibility and imagination and I believe it was not Bashar's problem, but the circle around him: His sister, brother and the Baath elite. Only at the very end did they realize they had to be flexible.
