Dispensationalism is a type of theology. Some Christians believe in it. Christianity is not a monolithic religion. It has aspects that are sublime and things that are ridiculous. There are as many variations and practices as there are Christians on the planet. Some of them deserve more respect than others, some definitely deserve criticism, but none deserve abuse. People who criticize U.S. relation with Israel based on theology are like the blind men trying to describe an elephant by feeling it. U.S. is a large and complex country whose politics is complicated. It is not a girl's club of friends and unfriends.

This is true democracy. Syria is a majority Sunni Muslim country. Just like Greece is majority Christian orthodox so the laws and constitution in Greece is based on Christian orthodox principles. Syrian laws and constitution will be based on Shariah due to it being majority Sunni Muslim. Just like European Christian based constitution has laws giving minorities rights, same will be the case in Syria. Btw, Iran which you simp for already has morality police and claims to have “Shariah”. Remember Masha Amini? The girl killed by Irans “morality” police for not wearing hijab properly. Syria will still be leagues more free and tolerant than Iran.

Oil is relatively minor in U.S. politics over last couple of decades. Most of U.S. oil import comes from Canada and Mexico. Geopolitics reduces to support for Israel. The support was somewhat more evenly balanced till the 1990s. After 9/11, it has become lopsided with pro-Israel dominance. It is not so much due to some theological BS as much as subliminal thinking of Arab-Islam politics with anti-terrorism politics. For example, If October 7 was a 'proper' war from say a neighbor of Israel, the politics would have been different than now. There would have been increased effort to bring a ceasefire and peace. Using UNSC if necessary. Because it was a terrorist attack, the politics is to view it through our 9/11 experience and say the terrorists have to be destroyed at any cost.
