I recall all newspapers were claiming evil SAA killed 23 innocent civilians and it turned to full blown rebellion but today nearly 1000 innocent have been killed and people are claiming Syrian government needs to restore law and order.

All rebel groups are trying to restore law and order to maintain their territory, for their own self-interest.

But will the other rebel groups agree?

Back in the '70s and up to 1982,the coup was still fresh. The Muslim Brotherhood just wanted to have their way.

Now I'm not saying destroying the entire city and looting and killing people indiscriminately is justified. No. But did you see what happened? What the Muslim Brotherhood did? What kind of a response would the government give? They started a guerilla war and spread around the entire city.
