But Syrian officials have publicly said they are not out to go to war against Israel, even as Israel has stolen more lands, a huge chunk of Syrias water resources and even humiliated the syrian regime by saying they will not allow military forces south of Damascus and called for a demilitarized zone.

Here is my theory.. They were banking on a pipe dream of a divided and partitioned Syria which was a pipe dream from the get go and was never gonna materialize.

They wanted to Use the Kurds in order for the Druze and Alwites to carve something up out of syria which was extremely deluded It is equal to believing like Italy´s immigrants can carve something out of italy. They did bad research the on syrian demographic and was just day dreaming first of all the Druze are basically very tiny element in Syria number wise less then 300k and it was very redundant talking them up and only putting them at the cross roads.

The Kurds understood that they were being the main sacrificial lamb and nobody was coming to their aid anyways they aren´t dumb. They joined the Gov´t.

Nobody is gonna fight for the tiny druze minority who don´t seek lands because 90% of the socalled druze fake map mistakenly including 90% none Druze lands but muslim lands.

As for the Coastal cities there has been demographic change there and it is the countries only access to the ocean.

All this pipe dream of Syria being divided was never gonna happen. Was only very stupid dream some anti-New Syria gov´t and some braindead Israelis believed in I mean these with room temp IQ because some other trolls just kept spreading online and We told these people this is ridiculous wishy washy and didn´t even warrant a debate, replies or convo.
