Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

Frankly as mods we accept all views and varying opinions as long as no personal attacks and abuse to fellow members or insults to beliefs. As long as it falls in these parameters we are all good bro
Yes..and I was just pointing out his hatred for Turkey.. not blaming him as he is Greek and they had wars between them..

He is not doing this for the love of the defunct Assad regime.. but for his huge hatred of Turkyie..
Assad regime was way better for a lot of people in Syria. I'm not saying it was great,I'm saying it was a lot better than many alternatives. And as a geopolitical entity it was better to us,than having a Turkish vassal in charge. Apart from that,it secured the liberties and freedom of worship of Christians,Shia,Alawites,Druze and yes,Sunnis too. Of course, certain people here talk about Sunnis being the "victim" of this conflict, but they won't admit it was the radical Sunnis that were always targeted by the regime because they were the ones who always stirred trouble against the regime. Always tried to influence people into rebellion by using the "Syria should be Sunni-ruled". It was the MB and other similar hardliners with their own agendas who disliked Panarabism and anything similar to socialism. They were the ones who declared all that as atheist and infidel and tried to provoke rebellion among the people.

That's the whole point though: Erdogan talks big and threatens Israel directly or indirectly,
but has been doing nothing. All the talk about lions and foxes and we'll do this and do that to anyone who compromises the territorial integrity of Syria etc. only to take action against the ragtag bands of Kurds and rebellious Arabs, while avoiding the Israelis who are literally a few dozen miles from the capital.
To be fair, a war against a nation is not the same as a war against a terrorist group.

A war with Israel would be devastating and would inevitably pull in not just regional players, but global ones, leading to a dramatic expansion of the war.

There is a good reason to play rhetoric, but not actually go to wat. Some times threats can be just as effective of getting what you want.

What I wrote earlier are personal observations and I am fully convinced of my views about that person. I am not making anything up (no intention or need to) but this is based on personal observations throughout the past 3 months.

I encourage you both to monitor this individual.

I have seen numerous anti-Arab, anti-Muslim and anti-KSA posts from his part. Just in this thread alone he started the sectarian and personal (as usual) aimed at me. As well as deliberately making false accusations for all to see.

Do you remember how did the whole Syrian affair started by the people calling for elections and Bashar complete refusal of that?

Extremism creates extremism on the other side.. that is how all this happened and evolved..

Erdogan of course won't go to war with Israel. He could suffer serious defeats and that would definetely drag the US and maybe others too,on the Israeli side. He is not stupid to do that. But the hypocrisy of such rhetoric, the irony...this is what me and others here make fun of. The hypocrisy of his rhetoric about "caring" for Palestinian brothers, about caring for the territorial integrity of Syria, about threatening mighty countries with war,be they Israel or Iran or Russia or Egypt and then basically doing nothing.

Utter nonsense. The Al-Assad regime destroyed modern day Syria and created all the current divisions due to their fascism, sectarianism, racism, incompetence and most importantly massacres and genocide during the past 50 + years.

It was only good for the Nusayri elites and the few rich Syrian Sunni Arab business and oligarch families in Damascus, Aleppo and elsewhere in Syria that were allied with it.

There is and will be no Syria as a Turkish vassal with Arabs around. Not the case today either. Nor in the future. Syrians will not allow it either.

There is freedom of worship for all of those groups today and collectively they barely make up 15% of the population.

More utter nonsense. "Radical Sunnis" as in 500.000 civilian Syrians? 10 + MILLION Syrians (vast majority Syrian Sunni Arabs) leaving Syria altogether (forced to)? Shameless creature.

More ignorance. The MB (an panrab and PAN-ISLAMIC movement) is the definition of panarabism just in the Islamic form rather than the fascist Ba'ath ideology.

Ever listened to the speeches of Hamas leaders in the past 1.5 years or before? They are constantly talking about the Arab world. In all of their speeches.

The same fascist Ba'ath ideology that denied the language and existence of Kurds and others. More jokes.

How many times do you need to be told that the incompetent, unrepresentative and murderous Al-Assad regime (now in the permanent dustbin) came to power through a bloody coup? That and later distorting the Ba'ath ideology further. It was a Nusayri oligarchy hiding under the pan-Arab garb. The same regime that gave the Golan Heights to Israel as a condition for Nusayri/Hafez al-Assad rule. All documented as well.

I already months ago showed you scholarly work about Syria pre-Nusayri regime rule and pre-coup. Written by Arab and Western scholars.

War is just an extension of diplomacy.. even if it is fought..it is for return to diplomacy and negotiation..

The best example now a days is the Russian-Ukrainian war..

The "anti-Arab" who learned how to write arabic and speaks a bit. The "anti-Arab" who has a vast collection of Arabic pop and traditional music. The anti-Arab with books about Arab history, wars and the Palestinian issue. This greek anti-Arab who used to wear a kuffiyeh almost every day for years in his youth. The guy who bought an original kuffiyah from the Herbawi textile in the West Bank (online) and encouraged others to buy some too on this very forum. This prejudiced anti-Muslim with good Muslim friends from various Arab countries and Pakistan. Oh man, monitor this guy's behavior,he's so anti-Arab and anti-Muslim he used to hang out with real Syrians and Palestinians when he was studying. So racist and prejudiced this guy.

Be on the lookout,he even has a book about Islamic architecture,he is very anti-Muslim.

And as part of these negiotiations, Syria must insist on the withdrawl of IDF forces which are destablishing Syria and that makes it dificult to take back all refugees quickly ?!
