Syrian Civil War and The future of Syria after liberation

They aren´t being reactionary the ones here they have been campaigning for it they are ex-regime fan boys.

They want an eternal never ending Ukraine like war between Syria-Israel both eliminated on each other, so that the so-called Axis of R can have some redemption in that.
Nobody has asked for another Syria-Israel war. That is a bogus allegation. What is true is Syria is well on the way to joining Abraham Accords and becoming another Egypt/Jordan type stooge of the West. All the signals are there, you are simply choosing to ignore it.

West didnt invest billions in Syrian civil war for nothing.

Whatever cocks your duck. I am not here to convince you anything. You can have your narrow mindset but I know what I see and hear.

Lets Agree to disagree

Israeli Channel 12, citing a Syrian source:
He went to reach a peace agreement between Israel and Syria before the end of the year
- The agreement includes the withdrawal of Israel from all the Syrian lands that it seized after December 8
The peace agreement indicates that the Golan will be a "peace garden"

A peace garden under full permanent Israeli sovereign control with Syria signing over sovereign control of the Golan permanently? Lets not kid ourselves.

Given the current Syrian 'Government' is not an elected government, we should really call it a "regime", question is if does it have any kind of legitimacy to sign such agreements that has such long lasting sovereign impact ? Surely this should be for an elected government to decide and sign and not the current regime?

So many people on here shitting on Al-Sharaa for not fighting Israel.

Y'all are delusional.

What is it that you expect them to do with a few AKs, pick up trucks, and flip flops?

The Chinese have said "Bind your time, and hide your strenght". Muslims really need to stop being idiotic and reactionary, and actually use your brains.

Agree, but there is no need to sign away anything that permanently restricts rights. Lets see if true, what the current regime in Syria signs ..

US reinforces military presence in Syria despite 'withdrawal' claims

The Pentagon has been quietly increasing the US military presence in Syria despite repeated announcements about plans for "troop withdrawals."

More than 100 trucks carrying military and logistical reinforcements have arrived at the US-led coalition bases across northeastern Syria over the past two days, Iraq's Shafaq News reported on Thursday.

The US-led troops reinforcements come despite recent Pentagon announcements regarding troop reduction and base closures in the West Asian country.

Eyewitnesses saw military trucks, crossing into Syria from Iraq via the al-Waleed border transporting military vehicles, fuel, food, water, and sealed containers suspected to contain weapons and ammunition.

The trucks delivered the supplies to US coalition bases in Khrab al-Jeer, Qasrak, and al-Shaddadi in Syria's Hasakah province.

“Weekly deliveries of military and logistical equipment are ongoing,” a source in the SDF group of Kurdish militants told Shafaq News.

The SDF source confirmed that US forces remain stationed at their bases in Syrian Kurdish-controlled territories, claiming cooperation with the local forces "to safeguard civilians and public institutions”.

Over the past several years, multiple reports have pointed to Washington's extending support, either directly or indirectly through its regional allies, to the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group .

The recent surge in US military assets in Syria comes amid renewed warnings by regional and western intelligence sources that the Daesh Takfiri terrorist forces are actively seeking to re-emerge in both Syria and Iraq.

According to a Reuters report published on Thursday, citing over 20 officials and diplomats from Syria and Iraq, the Daesh Takfiri leadership is reactivating dormant cells for terror and militants operations, distributing weapons, identifying targets, and ramping up recruitment efforts across both countries.

Since 2014, the Pentagon has claimed that the deployment of American troops is aimed to prevent Daesh from regaining control of strategic oilfields.

However, analysts say the deployment of US troops in Syria is primarily aimed at exploiting the country's natural resources, particularly crude oil.

US President Donald Trump has openly acknowledged on several occasions that American forces are stationed in the Arab country to secure and control its oil wealth.

NOTE: As I've said before, the U.S. is repeating in Syria what they did in Iraq and other countries: They announce troop withdrawals but actually increase forces for an endless occupation. However, in Syria’s case, this is happening much faster.

Majority of them crossed over from Iraq because of the recent tensions and due to Sadrists and Iranian militias in Iraq who are unvetted and outside gov´t control they had to relocate to Syria but they will return to their former bases in Iraq. Even the Iraq embassy is empty currently.

I have said it few weeks ago but Ahmed Al-Sharaa is probably the most important US ally in the region for the next couple of decades

the US will keep atleast 2 bases in Syria in post war Syria Al-Tanf and the one in north East. Al-Sharaa is a US ally thru and thru. The US will also likely have training role as well training the FSA and some parts of the new Syrian armed forces which they have already done in Tanf and I think that will continue.

The Americans will be for Ahmed Al-Sharaa what the Russians was for Assad. They will finance his gov´t, invest in Syria, shield it diplomatically and make pacts with them.
