The GM of our DFW facility LOVES Chipotle. I can't understand why especially when the real thing is on just about every other street corner there. To each his own I guess.

Up in ORD, I was pointed to a place, local family chain, that is just as good as anything I can get in the PHX metro area. Next time you happen to roll into ORD, check out Cilantro.

Chipotle is for people who do not know any better. I thought Tex-Mex down in the Southeast was the real thing, until I went to Mexico City.

Now I know far better. :D
 

U.S. STEM Workforce: Size, Demographic Characteristics, and Labor Market Outcomes​


STEM workers play an important role in the economic vitality, health, and security of the United States. They contribute to cutting-edge research and development (R&D), the application and maintenance of technologies in all sectors of the economy, and the provision of services that contribute to the well-being of every citizen. The United States relies on STEM workers to build its scientific and technical capacity and maintain the global competitiveness of its industries. The STEM workforce is defined as those currently employed in S&E, S&E-related, or STEM middle-skill occupations (see the Glossary section). STEM middle-skill occupations are those occupations that require technical knowledge but are not classified as S&E or S&E-related and do not require a bachelor’s degree

Size of the STEM Workforce​

In 2023, there were 36 million STEM workers in the United States, making up 25% of the total U.S. workforce. Employment and educational attainment patterns varied among S&E, S&E-related, and STEM middle-skill occupations (Figure TAL-1). Among STEM workers, 27% were employed in S&E occupations, 37% in S&E-related occupations, and 36% in STEM middle-skill occupations. Most workers in S&E (79%) and S&E-related (65%) occupations had a bachelor’s or an advanced degree, whereas 14% of workers in STEM middle-skill occupations did. Of the STEM workers with a bachelor’s or an advanced degree, 42% were employed in S&E occupations, 48% were in S&E-related occupations, and 10% were in STEM middle-skill occupations. About half of the workers in the STEM workforce did not have a bachelor’s degree; of these workers, 63% were employed in STEM middle-skill occupations.

One interesting little spot in the US that is not developed is the top left corner of Maine. When Americans think of the epitome of "nowhere close to civilization" they picture Maine...but wait a minute...it apparently is not as remote as we think.

There's actually busy Canadian suburbs right up against the US border which is full of thick unpassable remote woodlands with no roads that is so hard to get to that most Americans would label it "Prime Bigfoot territory" :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Union Oyster House, which opened in 1826 and is the nation's oldest continually operating restaurant, is celebrating its bicentennial this month.

One of Boston's most iconic landmarks is celebrating a milestone few restaurants anywhere can claim.

Union Oyster House is marking 200 years in business this month.

The restaurant opened in 1826 and since then, it has only been owned by four families.

It's the oldest continually operating restaurant in the country.

The National Historic Landmark is located right on the Freedom Trail in downtown Boston. It's known for its famous Kennedy booth, New England fare and welcoming generations of customers.
