Ther is nothing on paper with Temptest, if it goes like this then this will explode to. Uk will go for the F47.
With all due respect, there are very countries in the world that have a longer, deeper or more capable aerospace industry and track record of building fighter jets than the UK.
France can make the FCAS self to and it will have to make it, UK can make the temptest self. But that will cost money, wher is fund for the project? If it goes like this it can end like FCAS. F-47 is al flying and why would Japan wait so long?
Yes. Fighter development costs money, and the UK costs are shared across three partner countries, with a business case that involves procurement from Canada and Australia.
Why would the UK waste time and money on the F-47 when it has gone so far in GCAP. The demonstrator will fly in 2027. It is no longer a "paper" project that the FCAS was. The GCAP is more likely to happen than a French only 6th Gen by Dassault, and whatever Dassault come up with wont be as good as GCAP at any level.
