Tesla Roadster flies to a soft landing after an upside down loop launch

What the hell did I just watch? How did the first car just casually go up that ramp and continue going upside down at slow speeds and not flip over exactly? That looks super odd and sus tbh.

The jump over the other cars though was very cool, but still looks very weird, how does a car just shoot up in the air like that? Something looks off, almost like the car is a fraction of the weight of what a real car would be.

Honestly this roadster looks like a gimmick, it would never be approved to be driven on public streets. All he needed to do was deliver the original concept from a decade ago that he let people test drive instead of stringing them along all this time for no reason. This still wont be the version they get, if they get one at all.
if the ramp put attention to the car roof, it's pushing the car against the ramp.

it reminds me when a spacex reusable rocket lands, I bet they reused fragments of code from it.

it would be a nice option start to fly when self driving car meets a inevitable obstacle in imminent car crash.

Hey BYD's new stunning flying supercar got like 3 to 4 inches off the ground after like a 1/4 mile run up.

yep, it can jump over broomsticks

Atleast BYD has real practical application but how often do you need to do back flips in your car? Unless you live in a hotwheels world 😂

No It was underbody fan suction. Elon was talking about how it literally sucks the road giving it the ultimate road handling

I like that! Would probably be a part of some sensor protocol.

It won't happen in our lifetime, but hopefully The Jetsons aren't far off in the future
The thrusters won't happen but the down force underbody fan very likely, probably a legal not as strong down force fan, but it is coming.

For selfdriving. A human likely can't decide fast enough if it's right moment to do it and how land after, but a machine yes.

Interesting theatrical unveiling for sure. I am not convinced on the styling of the car for a "roadster".. ( looks are subjective of course ).

Hopefully for Tesla, the sales rate is better than the Tesla Cybertruck sales record, for Tesla's sake.
