There are no planes, no engines yet. If the first delivery starts in 2030, 10 planes will be delivered per year.

Pakistan is a partner of Kaan, though not a formal partnership. Pakistani engineers are working on the project.
so what is the role of Pakistan.i mean Indonesia investing billions and will manifactures some parts for kaan projects. whats the role of Pakistan

On social media, it's being said that Indonesia does not comply with agreements and fails to make payments on time. Turkish social media users do not believe the seriousness of the deal. Sorry.

I understand Turkish Officials have announced Pakistan's participation, but have any Pakistani Officials or Military Personnel confirmed partnership with KAAN or its acquisition? Is it possible Pakistan is simply sending its engineers for experience and only ToT for PFX?

Nope and what is ToT?

A update about the radar, with the 2 side radar Kaan will have 270 degree radar azimuth. It can turn fly away and still lock the enemy fighter..

ASELSAN Displays Its Payloads for TUSAŞ’s KAAN Fighter

ASELSAN presented its sensor, navigation, communication, identification, and weapon payloads for TUSAŞ’s KAAN fighter jet during the Paris Airshow 2025.

ASELSAN, as the prime contractor for avionics as well as one of the suppliers of air-to-surface munitions, displayed its portfolio of payloads for KAAN during the exhibition.

The sensors include the MURAD 600-A AESA Radar, TOYGUN 100 EOTS, KARAT 100 IRST, LIAS 300 laser warning system, and IRIS 300 missile warning system to provide situational awareness and fire control in different bands.

MURAD 600-A, alongside the onboard EW system, forms the Integrated RF System (IRFS). On the other hand, TOYGUN 100, KARAT 100, LIAS 300, IRIS 300, and YILDIRIM 300 DIRCM form the Integrated EO System (IEOS).

A package of various avionics forms the Integrated Communication-Navigation-Identification System (ICNI).

Another important component of KAAN developed by ASELSAN is the TULGAR helmet-mounted display system.

ASELSAN will also supply various guided bombs for KAAN, like TOLUN/ TOLUN IIR small diameter bombs, LGK laser-guided bombs, and Gözde laser + GPS guided bombs intended against moving targets.

A new engine by the end of the year?

No.

- Only the first prototype of the TF35000 will be built around the end of 2025 or beginning of 2026. The first ignition will be carried out in the same year.

- If all goes well, it is planned to start testing on the Kaan in 2028. The Kaan prototype, which is reserved for engine tests, will be fitted with 1 GE F110 and 1 TF35000.

- Again, if all goes well, we will see mass-production Kaans equipped with TF35000 in 2032 at the earliest.

As you can see, there are lots of "If" LOL

Its pretty much widely accepted that Pakistan will likely buy the KAAN. The issue right now is that Pakistan has limited funds, and it wants to see something more substantial before it commits.

On top of that, it's priority right now is the J-35A, as a war with India is now a very real looming threat. It's trying to rapidly prepare for it, and can't afford to spend money on a project that's still 5 to 10 years away from block 1.

Would the PAF be interested into merging the PFX and its participation in the KAAN program, to go for the single engine version of the KAAN. Equipped with one TF35000, if Pakistan can build it bulk and the PFX/Kaan can be a long term replacement for all fighters except the J-35A. The TF35000 if paired with a 10,000 kg empty weight air frame would have the same thrust to weight as the Eurofighter. Build around missiles like the PL-17, it could really see all efforts move towards a viable “light to medium” fighter that can be build in bulk, and allow the PAF to have quantity and quality.

This single engine platform could also be sold as a fighter/trainer for the Turkish twin engine KAAN, and possibly small enough to be able to fit on the Turkish aircraft carrier, if not other nation’s aircraft carriers.
