Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda (/ˈswɑːmi ˌvɪveɪˈkɑːnəndə/)(12 January 1863 – 4 July 1902), born Narendranath Datta, was an Indian Hindu monk, philosopher, author, religious teacher, and the chief disciple of the Indian mystic Ramakrishna. Vivekananda was a major figure in the introduction of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world, and is credited with raising interfaith awareness and elevating Hinduism to the status of a major world religion.

Vivekananda is widely regarded as one of the greatest modern Indian thinkers. He was a prominent philosopher, social reformer, and the most successful proponent of Vedanta philosophy abroad. He played a crucial role in the Hindu revivalist movement and contributed significantly to the rise and development of Indian nationalism in colonial India. Celebrated as a patriotic saint, his birth anniversary is observed in India as National Youth Day. :coffee:

good day gentlemen

as in the above post#106, the visits of this honorable Hindu Representative to Western Society, the Swami Vivekanand, and there he was asked in early 1900, "how many non-Christians we see in Science books? can he name a Hindu Scientist in Science books, similar to Newton, Einstein, Lamarck/Darwin, Stroke etc?" ☕

here, how many Muslim Scientists, in Scientific books we have while addressing the Prosperity of Arab World? :)
the Swami Vivekanand could name few Hindus with many Russians in Presentations in USA's Major Cities, which are claimed to be having the highest living standard in World for around 150years+ 👍

how we see the above lecture in UN about British efforts for not letting have Industrial Revolution in "Indian Subcontinent"? :coffee:

as in above speech, they even promoted "Heroine"/Drugs Trade to China from India/ by using the Human resource of this Indus Land/(Indian Subcontinent). but/during that time, their new industries took over old ones in India, many of then time new industries since early 1900s ☕

how we see the above lecture in UN? 👍
:pakistan:🇮🇳🇨🇳

INDIA'S DE-INDUSTRIALIZATION UNDER BRITISH RULE India was a major player in the world export market for textiles in the early 18th century, but by the middle of the 19th century it had lost all of its export market and much of its domestic market. Other local industries also suffered some decline, and India underwent secular de-industrialization as a consequence. While India produced about 25 percent of world industrial output in 1750, this figure fell to only 2 percent by 1900. We use an open, specific-factor model to organize our thinking about the

relative role played by domestic and foreign forces in India's de-industrialization. The construction of new relative price evidence is central to our analysis. We document trends in the ratio of export to import prices (the external terms of trade) from 1800 to 1913, and that of tradable to non-tradable goods and own-wages in the tradable sectors going back to 1765. With this new relative price evidence in hand, we ask how much of the de-industrialization was due to local supply-side influences (such as the demise of the Mughal empire) and how much to world price shocks (such as world market integration and rapid productivity advance in European manufacturing), both of which had to deal with an offset n the huge net transfer from India to Britain before 1815. Whether the Indian de-industrialization shocks 👎and responses were big or small is then assessed by comparisons with other parts of the periphery.

The name 'India' is derived from the River Indus, the valleys around which were the home of the early settlers. The Aryan worshippers referred to the river Indus as the Sindhu. ☕

Interesting Facts about India

  • India never invaded any country in her last 100000 years of history.
  • When many cultures were only nomadic forest dwellers over 5000 years ago, Indians established Harappan culture in Sindhu Valley ('Indus' Valley Civilization)

India is secular liberal democratic and tolerant because its hindu majority

I find most of Indian pass Hindu Test like Mr Modi 🕳️
Here I remember them PM Mr PV N Rao, who gave around 1-2 weeks to RSS-BJP to Crush Babri mosque, a time to build a temporary "Ram Tample" on that place......
The BJP officially accepted that guit, and in return they lost their all State governments by force by then Mr Rao government, by that centre.
It was always a question, why that Rao government allowed that 1-2 weeks tample of "Lord Ram" to continue in place of accepting BJP governments dismissal, as the needed price? 🕳️

The Supreme Court finally left the then BJP leaders like Mr Advani free of guilty, as it was also a "Hindu Test" of court/laws for Indian politics 👍

for people like, the above title looks funny :),
"Hindutva mob vandalise Christmas mall decor during ‘Chhattisgarh Bandh’"

only "the Vatican" and "the Riyadh" can do justice for Christian-Muslims on the Soil of Hindustan 👍

We discussed, the Hindus did highest number of murders of Non-Hindus for "Lord Ram". :)
the Hindus has many Lords, but not Just the historic "Babri Mosque demolition" and other similar/related Incidents, but it's only the "Deepawali", the biggest Hindu Festival at present, and its the only "Lord Ram", which comes with highest numbers of Murders by Hindu Mobs :)

Diwali isn't a U.S. federal holiday, but several states (NY, NJ, PA, TX, CA from 2026) and cities (NYC, DFW, Houston ISDs) recognize it with school/state employee days off,🇮🇳 allowing celebration without penalty, reflecting growing diversity and inclusion for Hindu, Sikh, Jain, Buddhist communities. California joins in 2026, mandating a school/state employee day off, making it a growing trend for cultural recognition in the U.S..

States Recognizing Diwali (as of late 2025/early 2026)
  • California: First West Coast state, making it a state holiday from 2026, granting days off for public schools and state employees.
  • New York: Recognizes Diwali, impacting schools and state workers.
  • New Jersey: Many districts observe it as a school holiday.
  • Pennsylvania: Also recognizes Diwali for state/school observances.
  • Texas: Major metro areas like DFW & Houston allow absences for the festival.
Key Points
  • Not Federal: It's not a national holiday; federal offices remain open.
  • Local & State Level: Recognition is primarily at the local school district and state government level.
  • Growing Trend: More states are adding it to official calendars to accommodate diverse populations.
  • Benefit: Allows students and employees to celebrate the festival of lights (triumph of light over darkness) without missing class or work.
In essence, while you won't automatically get the day off everywhere, many areas in the U.S. are making it easier to take Diwali as a cultural holiday.

The statement, "I am an RSS member first and then Prime Minister," has been attributed to former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and current Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also frequently emphasized his deep roots in the organization. 👍

I have traveled across the length and breadth of India and I have not seen one person who is a beggar, who is a thief. :coffee: Such wealth I have seen in this country, such high moral values, people of such calibre, that I do not think we would ever conquer this country, unless we break the very backbone of this nation, which is her spiritual and cultural heritage, and, therefore, I propose that we replace her old and ancient education system, her culture, for if the Indians think that all that is foreign and English is good and greater than their own, they will lose their self-esteem, their native self-culture and they will become what we want them, a truly dominated nation.”

We used to discuss in my degree college in India, that if you know English, you may at least get "a salary" by English education. 🕳️

How we see the today's World, in light of English education/civilization proposed by the above British Coloniser "Lord Macaulay" by year 1834? Post#116.

We usually discuss, the Indians getting more jobs than Chinese because of English language background, as part of Commonwealth Games, by India -Pakistan both 👍

we further discussed, further to the last posts#116/#117,
only Muslims bring 'salt' for Christian Lands, by doing crimes in other countries. but the business of British/English since "East India Company", as in Singapore as below, was always "Good Business", as claimed in the scene of a Popular Hollywood movie :coffee:

sometimes I wish we had data on specific regions too - like which part of china, which part of India or france, gemany, italy weren't a single country for a good chunk of human history,

Russia was much smaller back than

that'd be complicated for economist/historians to figure out
but cool at the same

@Persian Gulf

We have reports that the Persian history is more wealthier than that of Russia
🇮🇳

Further to the above post#115

We find the leaders of RSS maintained close relations with NATO/US leadership since early 90s, since fall of Babri Mosque, led by RSS leaders who then won in Centre by "generated" support👍

The demonstration of Babri mosque then led formation of Lord Ram tample, and it's leaders like Mr Advani were then finally released, him and his men both, without jail. .......
In fact, the Rao government also gave a time to men of BJP-RSS a time, around 1-2 months, for formation Ram tample, and then cancelled the different state governments of BJP as a price...... The price of Road government was refused by the Congress, the BJP paid it.....

"The Hindu" test was always mandatory in judiciary/courts and politics of India 👍
