The Sad Tale of Tejas!

Please note taking aside Pakistan fighters
Just look at what Tejas is replacing

Vintage Mig21 no range no load ancient russian bvrs short range old airframes fifty years old

And Jaguar cold war deep strike fighters no one else uses ..

The Tejas has it all
USA engines
India Aesa radars
Low Rcs
Composite air frame
Quad fbw
Weapons function from.india Israel Europe
Planned project to move from mark1a to mark 2 to Amca ...smoothly with lessons and technology going from Tejas into first block Amca like Aesa radars and Astra Rudram weapons

Created massive eco system.

Keeps.indian money in India

The more Tejas project mushrooms and matured the more critical from our neighbours we expect ..

This is because Tejas is now a fully inducted fighter accepted into Airforce.
They have even started mark1a production

Right now it's advantages are numerous
Low Rcs
Aesa radar
Wide weapons commonality India Israel and Europe
Low cost
Modern USA Engines

Draw back load and range

Superior in cockpit tech to all fighters in Pak and Indian air forces bar Rafales and J10
Hence why Indian air forces want 180 more
Windy article from 2001 is desperate thinking
The very fact you have to post multiple replies shows who is desperate to keep their tail up.
JF-17 used same engines as your MiG - 29s, the smokey engines are a thing of the past and it's habitual for some to ridicule others projects but it doesn't take a genius to conclude that there's a reason JF-17 within two decades has moved onto Block-3 and even Block - 2 has taken over CAP duities from the F-16s. As for rest of your banter, well it reminds me what the Indian fanboys use to argue pre 27.2.2019 ، claiming the SU-30 is an overkill of PAF and it's meant for PLAAF and the Fulcrums are enough to take care of PAF.... guess what when the test came, SU-30s were calling Bingo, Mirages reporting radar issues and bugging out, no Fulcrums were in sight and vintage MiG-21 oblivious of his location got flamed...
and all this in broad daylight.
BTW, all PAF aircraft are single engine, on our Republic day, these same single engine 40 year old display over the heart of our Capital.. how often do single engine participate in a simple flypast on Indian republic day... come back and talk when the IAF has acquired that confidence.
The thread was bait from windy a bit of banter

Deep down he knows their thunders have smokey dated russian engines
The airframes have no composites and suffer cracks
This is why they now seek j10 and j31

The F16 their pride have worn out engines and airframes after Forty years of service bar 18 block 52

They need china badly no options from west maybe Turkey next decade but finances May scupper this

Meanwhile expect Tejas to just get stronger and bigger and indengious Indian military power stronger

I hope this shitty named ugly flying triangle fails even more.
Also those who keep harping the word indigenous with this shit stain of an aircraft should get their brain analyzed.

We should move on to AMCA with lessons learnt here and forget the Teja once and for all.

Tejas will be inducted in the hundreds, and will form the backbone of the IAF for decades. Your opinion about its name or appearance matters nought.

Tejas:
Mk1 orders - 40
Mk1A orders - 83 (already)
Trainers - 40 +

Mk1/Mk1A total orders including Trainer = 160 +
Mk2 (expected)= at least 200

Estimates alreay = 360 + jets

No fighter with an expected order of almost 400 jets is 'sad'
Tejas MK1 - 40 , Tejas MK1A - 83 + 97 = 180

How generous of you to stealthly place yourself in the same category as the Viper, Gripen and/or the J-10c.

Why don't you just go out & put your TEJAs alongside the F-22 & F-35?

How about you first play catchup to the JF-17, and maybe the KAI T-50 - then we'll talk about putting your bucket of bolts in the conversation with the Gripen or the Mighty Viper.
The Tejas MK1A block is more advanced compared to the F16 Block 70 or F16 Viper. However, I don't believe it's more advanced than the Gripen block E. Regarding the J-10 block C, not much public information is available, but I assume it to be more advanced compared to the Tejas MK1A block and less advanced compared to the Gripen block E.
But, Tejas MK2 will definitely be the most advanced 4th generation fighter jet in the world.

Some idiots try a portray as if all skills, capability, planning, execution and will belongs to only one country in the region.

They turn around every discussion into my d”CK is bigger then your’s and don’t have either the temperament or the skill to discuss.

Can’t do anything to them. Moron they are.

The Indian watchman in my Building accuses the Pakistan Air Force for shooting down a Mi-17 & killing 7 jawans on 27th Feb, 2019.

Obviously, I correct him that, "No we can't take credit for something like that. It was all you guys."

See, where i'm going with this. Just 'cause you have a few Pakistani acquaintances..., I mean friends - doesn't mean that they've got all facts. Just like the watchman that I have to deal with. Not Rocket Scientist material.

ah, such are the fantasies one uses to get by in life...

how dare you. @Windjammer is not a flamebaiter. He is an APEX Predator, flying like an eagle on mighty wings and sweeping on weaklings who survive on bull$hit. He exposes the charlatans and with diamond sharp intelligence, muscular build and a commanding voice points out not only the hypocrisy and lies of the bharti samosamakers, but also points out their empty of the stomachness as he chews his cigar.

He is the might eagle.

Look at this picture, the cheap build quality of the JF-17 is evident. You won't see such hinges on any modern aircraft.

It's gratifying to witness lackeys with their faces already smeared are sitting on fence jumping up and down on a nail. The shamless idiots never learn despite being clipped around the ears repestedly.

I love the Tejas baiting lately
I think there is genuine envy
Look at the issues with the cheap budget Chinese export fighter you call.your thunders

Yes, your quarter century old article has put all Indians to shame.

I'm curious, do you do this for a living? Scour the internet for anything negative about India all day, no matter how trivial or irrelevant? I sure hope you get paid for this.
