The seat of UN Secretary-General is not for sale

UN is useless, failed to prevent a single genocide or massacre, the organization should be just closed. the world was/is/will always be might is right, the law of jungle.
I've said it here a few times already; it is the world's largest government-sponsored money laundering organization. That, according to some, also puts on great parties.

In the broader scheme of things? Useless.

Take it from someone who has worked in the UN system.. the entire system is f***** what the **** are we even discussing here ,🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Bro, there is bad and there is completely evil. It's no secret why the Emiratis are suddenly hyper focused on securing the UN Secretary-General seat.

Their reputation has taken a massive hit lately. Just like they use sports to sportwash their image, they're now trying to use a supposedly noble post at the UN to polish their broken credentials. These Emirati Epstein supporters are criminals of the highest order. Corrupt and evil to the core.

Handing them the UN Secretary-General position would be akin to giving the Taliban nukes.

It is encouraging to see widespread opposition to the Emirati robbery bid. The United Nations deserves a candidate of better integrity. Surely there must be one amongst all the nations.

If you think this is a surprise I don't know what to say. Look at the history of the UN and then ask yourself, is this coincidence or by design 👍

The UN is useless. That is not even up for debate. To me, it is deeply worrisome that Emiratis can use this platform to further their agenda. The Emiratis are allies of Israel and India, which in itself is detrimental to Pakistan. Pakistan should be actively opposing this bid as well.

In our view, the United Nations is, in essence, a "teahouse."

The world we live in is fundamentally composed of individual entities—nation-states—that engage in various forms of conflict and cooperation with one another.

The United Nations provides a space where these parties can sit down and talk. It can't do anything on its own; it's just a "reason" to talk about.

In the forest, fierce beasts—jackals, wolves, tigers, and leopards—compete against one another. At the heart of the forest lies a tea spot; whenever they grow weary from their fighting, they can sit there to rest and perhaps even strike up a conversation...

It's not just UAE, as you have correctly summarized there are multiple factors here.

Frankly the UN is going down the route if the league of nations. It as a body needs to be disbanded and rebuilt from the ground up.

UN is designed to be a toothless organisation , blaming it's secretary general for it's failure is inappropriate...there are no perfect human beings , signalling out minor flaws in someone's character and demonizing him/her is a despicable human trait.

If conflict between the parties is unavoidable, then I would rather it drag on at the conference table than be resolved quickly on the battlefield.

I think this is the greatest role that the United Nations still plays.

Except it's not even effective at that. How many UN resolutions have been enforceable?

The United Nations certainly has its problems, but that is no reason to dismiss its role entirely.

Ultimately, the world is shaped by the actual power wielded by individual nation-states. As the relative strengths of these states shift, the position of the United Nations—situated in their midst—becomes a delicate one.

Think of it as a teahouse: sometimes it is bustling with guests, while at other times it may be eerily empty. Yet, we know the teahouse exists; We can go in whenever we want. We don't have to go in if we don't want to.

But what if this teahouse were not there at all?

The UAE has a clear stance on the Sudanese civil war and the genocide carried out by Israel, so the UAE candidate is not suitable to serve as the UN Secretary General.

The two candidates from Costa Rica and Guyana are more suitable.

The candidate from Argentina is actually the most suitable, but the British will definitely use their veto power.

The greatest achievement of the United Nations is to keep the world from experiencing a world war for over 80 years. There was only a gap of 20 years between the first two world wars.

It's no UN it's mutually assured destruction that's preventing the world war.
