This strategic framework codifies and elevates the defense relationship between the two major non-EU NATO allies, focusing heavily on four critical pillars:
  • Defense Industrial Collaboration: Streamlining procurement processes—notably regarding Türkiye's interest in the Eurofighter fighter jets—and co-developing military technologies.
  • Military Capability & Deterrence: Enhancing operational interoperability to reinforce Euro-Atlantic security against evolving peer adversaries.
  • Emerging Threats: Establishing joint protocols for cyber defense, hybrid warfare countermeasures, and space security.
  • Counter-Terrorism & Resilience: Deepening intelligence sharing, combating transnational terror networks, and strengthening civil preparedness.

They just ruined Netanyahu's week.

Everyone's getting tired of Israel, multiple countries can't run their foreign policy and defence policies on what Israel wants

The world is changing and both the U.S and Europe has less control of the market, so if the U.K doesn't sign a deal with Turkey, then Turkey will look elsewhere and continue to develop it's own products

They just ruined Netanyahu's week.

also MITSOTAKIS's week

One person familiar with the document said the deal is in the same spirit as the 2021 bilateral defence agreement between France and Greece.
