So I guess people in China can't readily easily access such things like many American platforms such as X, Youtube and Facebook must be a big negative in the ranking of freedom.

What can one expect ? The image of China in the West is the embodiment of an authoritarian or worse a totalitarian Communist nation while the image of US in the West is the leader of the free world.

hey in case you can't read barcharts or the links in the article the US wasn't even in the top 65...so it obviously has nothing to do with X, Youtube, or Facebook as that certainly isn't seen as a big plus to push us near the top.

Lol, we already know what the West says about China and US societies from every day narratives in the media. You don't have to be so defensive to cover the bias already existed. I am just stating the facts eventhough US is not at the top. Chinese can't readily access Western platforms specifically American is definitely going to negatively affect the score, one doesn't have to be a genius to figure that out.
This kind ranking also has to do with perceptions rather than just on on hard stats as in some other rankings.

LOL! Your favorite "go to" bar chart site "VisualCapitalist" is now simply Western propaganda because China was not put on the top.

When it comes to true facts and figures, it's worth studying, freedom index? come on, how can abstract ideas varying from culture to culture be universally indexed? who is that dumb even trying to do so.
