This officer should be court martialed

I want people to keep one thing in mind. When womenfolk (zan) are involved, people behave/react very differently.

Apparently the lady with the officer is his wife. If she is being harassed, accosted, called-out (right or wrong is not the point here) by a mob of young students, the officer did what all husbands would do. Which is to stick up for his wife and push back.

He took out his sidearm and employed it in a manner he felt appropriate in the face of the surging mob. While you can sit here and pass judgement on him thinking you would not do that, I can guarantee 99/100 of us/you would step in to defend our honor (women) just like that.

I understand the urge to blast the army for political reasons, here, the situation escalated because of the way the student mob went after the lady.

BTW, these civil-military conflicts are greatly frowned upon within the Army (a case where there is an altercation between military and civilians,) but the circumstances should also be kept in mind.

Best way forward is an ISPR briefing after JAG makes a ruling… with transparent handling of internal affairs having been concluded swiftly as we expect from our forces.

Will help the nation heal from this… through trust building and setting standards that will water down and trickle down to civilian thugs as well rest is up to the establishment think tank … I can only offer my advisory + ISPR can make documentary on military justice vs just songs and gannay and help people of pakistan understand that pakistan is changed for better
