Didn't Korean nobility use same Chinese "pictures" for writing even in Joseon era? Thank god Koreans now have an actual writing system built around 20 or so letters..

Korea and Vietnam are slowly reviving Chinese writing language, all their historical documents and books were writing in Chinese, it's hard to imagine that their people can not understand their own ancestors documents and literature. Indian influence was thousands of years ago and currently, what country follows Confucianism? Korea? Japan? Singapore? Are you claiming that Korea, Japan etc were some glorious civilization 1000 years ago, filled with riches and what not? Korea was dirt poor very recently. Even Japan went through meiji restoration.
