Trips of China-Laos High Speed Railway surpass 38 millions

This railway has sent 12.73 million trips this year, an increase of 11.9 percent year-on-year.

As of Aug 19, the China-Laos Railway has operated 56,000 passenger trains, with more than 38 million trips, since its opening on Dec 3, 2021.

The railway attracts 252,000 passengers from 100 countries and regions around the world and it has injected strong impetus into the economic prosperity of ports, cross-border tourism, and people-to-people exchanges, according to China Railway Kunming Bureau Group.

The launch of the new rail route not only made traveling between the two popular tourist cities much more convenient, but it also linked other destinations worthy of a visit along the way.
