Trump said five Indian Jets were shot down

IMO, it's not the #of jets downed, it's why the IAF got grounded for two whole days! And, why didn't it aggressively venture to take the revenge? The West armed the IAF with what it could afford. Obviously, their export version technology has failed. It also leaves a question mark on the "philosophy" guiding their technology. It's a matter of great concern...

Irrespective of whether all those jets were Indian or not, President Trump clearly did not specify which country the planes belonged to. So, the title of this thread is clearly false.
That’s a convenient dodge, but let’s look at this honestly. The only country claiming to have lost zero jets during this clash is India. Pakistan officially acknowledged the damage of one aircraft, and even that was under circumstances still under discussion. The rest of the damage—wreckage, satellite imagery, eyewitness reports from Indian-occupied territory, and now Trump’s statement, clearly point toward Indian losses.

Trump didn’t name which side lost the jets, but that’s precisely the point. If five jets were downed in total, and Pakistan has only acknowledged one, then the remaining losses logically point to India. Especially when you factor in the number of confirmed hits claimed by PAF, and corroborated quietly by on-ground Indian journalists and analysts abroad who are not bound by the hyper-nationalist Indian media narrative.

Let’s also not ignore that India itself rushed to accept a ceasefire and declined to mention Trump's name after the deal, while Pakistan thanked him publicly. That alone shows who was eager to call it quits.

Trying to cast doubt by saying "Trump didn’t say whose jets" doesn’t change the implication. The world knows who suffered the heavier blow, and Trump, whether you like him or not, is far closer to these briefings than Twitter/X warriors. His statement reinforces what was already being whispered globally: that the Indian Air Force took a serious beating.

Deflection won’t undo the damage. It just exposes how desperate the need is to cover up what happened.

I dont dispute that India may have lost 4 or 5 or 6 or 7 jets, but President Trump has never said 7 Indian jets were shot down, even if he implied it. So, the liar is the person who started the thread by misquoting him and is spreading fake news.
No one is misquoting. Trump’s words were vague on purpose, as leaders often are when navigating sensitive geopolitical events. But the context, timing, and his deliberate mention of ‘5 jets shot down’ immediately after the Indo-Pak clash, paired with leaked videos and satellite imagery showing wreckage in India, makes it clear what he was referencing. Denying what was clearly implied isn’t logic, it’s selective amnesia.

He said four-five jets and then used the word "I think", which itself shows he is not sure about the number.
When a U.S. President publicly says 'I think 4-5 jets were shot down', especially in the immediate aftermath of the conflict, it's not idle guesswork. Leaders at that level are briefed by intelligence agencies; they don't randomly speculate on such matters. His use of 'I think' was diplomatic cover, but the message was loud and clear. The fact that you're clinging to semantics rather than substance says everything. :)

US wanted a lap dog India and India just wanted help against China
Yes, a lap dog, that can be let loose on China to weaken it.
India is expected to be a "Ukraine" against China and could be militarily armed and funded indefinitely IF India will fight China.
India's population landmass and somewhat adequate industrial capacity does make it a peer adversary of China if sufficiently backed by NATO/QUAD India due to its population is expected to better sustain heavy casualties than NATO/QUAD members,
The expectations the West has from India are however flawed because of the peculiar Indian mindset based on ancient traditions.
Apparently the Ancient Vedic Chanakya doctrine of war as spelled out in the book guidelines, Arth Shastra which requires avoiding a war with an equivalent or stronger adversary, and an aggressive war to the finish with a weaker adversary.
Thus India wants to fight Pakistan with western assistance instead or better still get the West to fight Pakistan and destroy it. India believes the West can be manipulated into attacking and destroying Pakistan in a continuing war on terror.
That is Chanakya Neeti ( or Chanakya doctrine).

The west and particularly america is absolutely livid with the indians. The white europeans have spent 100s of millions of dollars over the past 24 years in trying to make india into a superpower that can take on China. Those hundreds of millions of dollars have to come to waste as the west and america now know that india is both incapable and unwilling to take on China. india can't even take on Pakistan let alone China. This damning realisation by the white europeans have made them really mad. Pakistan smashing india and shooting down the rafales was the final nail in the indian coffin.
In the worst they were using us like w**** for their dirty work, while supporting India economically and politically for white collar purposes. They gave India nuclear technology and access to Western markets, treating them favorably all while expecting us to handle the unpleasant tasks that help maintain their global order.

Now they’re applauding us again for doing the dirty work. But they’re beginning to realize that India is not a country capable of backing up its bragging with real strength. You see, their so-called ‘breeds’ are not made to fight wars they’re designed for show, not substance. If you look closely, they’re more like roosters — loud and decorative, existing only to play a role in the food chain, not in actual battle.

He wanted to give message to those who may concern. And he did so... Another world he was saying to Indias buy my weapons. Otherwise next time I will expose you more

What happened to the "X guards"? Surely Trump meant to say "4 or 5 X guards" were shot down?

We should ALL troll online that USAF pilot guy, who for likes or under someone's influence made those dumb statements in his vlog. We should post Trump's video in his comments so he can hear it.

Welcome to "electronic chaos"!! You can't fight what you can't see. Ghosts only kill. That was PL-15 for them. That's why they went grounded and stayed 150-200 KM away for the rest of the war's duration.

During these air battles, the PAF was jamming Comms, GPS, Radar, Defensive Suits, etc. So it was electronic chaos. Dozens of hi frequencies were hitting these jets and that electronic chaos also hid PL-15's electronic signatures. So Rafale had no clue on how and what hit them. Better to be safe then sorry so grounding was best option.

Okay today is cry day for Indians. 😁
Trump said five Indian Jets were shot down. 😂😂😂😂
This is going to bring a meltdown in Indian media. I am waiting for those India media statements now.

I know us Pakistanis are enjoying Trump's statement. But has anyone REALLY thought WHY he made it so public? Usually, between government to government, you help hiding your friends loss to avoid embarrassment and Trump does a good job of it.

The REAL story is, Trump is pushing India towards F-35's!! This is his kind of last huge push by making it so public that Modi gets pressurized from home. This statement of his was really for the entire India so Modi can let go of his mindset and gets pushed into doing a contract out of public pressure and what now becomes a national security issue. Especially with news of Pakistan acquiring Chinese stealth platforms.

Trump played a genius stroke and has turned the entire India against Modi. Their media is now asking questions they were avoiding before and saying "we need the F-35". That was Trump's strategy. Pakistan now needs to counter it. I'd expect a US deal soon on this with India.

@MastanKhan @Windjammer @Oscar your thoughts?

This is what I have been saying and pushing them to not buy Russian oil and sale them on profit in Western market
