Trump threatens 100% tariffs on BRICS nations over US dollar replacement plans

As an American what is OP's personal opinion on Trump's tariffs? He (OP) may have already stated it elsewhere and also elaborated. Repost it here for interested members.

What do you think will happen when Trump finds out India has a HUGE service surplus? LOL

He can stop ppl/goods entering US but not much can be done abt companies hiring more ppl in India.. and it's not like these companies only service the US. US corporations like google, microsoft etc etc will use Indian staff to service their European business etc and not much can be done abt that...

I don't think services are big on his list so far, he wants factories and manufacturing moving back there.

This Indian corporate shredder has it all planned out.

just an old fool who bought the NVDA dip at $135.

Microsoft is going to shut down its outsourcing unit in China ( in cooperation with local China software company).

So look like Trump tarrift is not only for merchandise, but service as well.

Yes, you can continue to cope. This trade war is never just about China mate. It is about getting everything back to the good ole USA. Next the white collars will push for all services and nice jobs to be back to USA. Then they will do the H1B ban again. My cousin had a 100% raise after the ban came in, and until today Indian companies will hire Americans for management role to reduce the tension.

That's exactly the point. If jobs move to India, there's no need for H1Bs in the first place. The work comes here, not the workers going there. We're doing just fine, thanks for the concern.

Plenty of multinationals are already growing their teams here (GCC's) especially in tech and services. So even if the US pulls back on visas, the shift towards India-based roles isn’t slowing down.

China has pushed back once again to U.S. President Donald Trump’s tariff policies by hiking its levies on U.S. imports to more than 80%.

China’s Office of the Tariff Commission of the State Council said that tariffs on U.S. goods will rise to 84% from 34% starting on April 10, according to a translation of the announcement. This comes after the latest U.S. tariff hike — which brings levies on Chinese goods to more than 100% — took effect at the start of April 9.

The repeated escalation of the tariffs threatens to bring trade between two of the world’s most important economies to a standstill.

The Trump administration announced a sweeping new tariff policy last week, and warned other countries not to retaliate. Some nations, including Japan, have seemed willing to negotiate on tariffs, but China appears to be taking a more hardline stance.

The U.S. had already imposed new tariffs on China before it rolled out its full trade policy in April. China, along with Canada and Mexico, was hit with new levies earlier in Trump’s presidency as part of what the administration says was an effort to stop fentanyl from entering the U.S.

Dey macha, they DONT WANT YOU TAKING THEIR JOBS! They want it back in the US manned by Whites, get it? Now you can worship Sri Brahma Trump with milk and honey but you will be naive to think India will be spared.
