You're one of the few who understands. The frontier and emerging markets are expected to experience steady growth over the next decade or two, provided we do not encounter significant shocks, such as conflicts.
 
It's all useless even if both sides agree to reduce the tariffs to like 50%, won't basically make any difference, if they are down to like 30%, won't make big difference either. Just for show.
 
what a massive betrayal to the loyal maga crowd, they were prepared to endure shortages and hardship to fight China out, and? well now at least they can afford to put some clothes on, the readymade garment industry can do fine under the new 10%+24% tariff AFAIK, no mention of exchange rate, rare earth, tiktok or bonds, just a temporary truce on tariff I think, bad news for India, who took multiple hits lately, pharmaceuticals in particular

If both sides agree to reduce tariffs it means winnie-Xi-poo has agreed to some of Orange mans demands. Trump is not doing all this cht to go back to the status quo that is over so get that through your thick head. Only and I mean only way Trump starts reducing tariffs is Xi gives in to demands and you and all celestials in here know it.

But don't worry Trump will make Xi look good and won't rub it in his face he'll likely say Xi is a tough negotiator blah blah blah! But we'll know the truth.

It's far more likely that Trump has folded and allowed China to buy products that were previously restricted, but those details will probably be buried deep inside a 100 page document.

Make no mistake about it: it was the US, not China, who asked for this meeting.

Singapore: The US and China have brokered a deal to temporarily suspend eye-watering tariffs on each other for 90 days, in a bid to defuse a trade war showdown between the world’s two biggest economies that has rattled financial markets and revived fears of a global recession.

The agreement, which was secured during two days of talks between Chinese and US officials in Geneva, Switzerland over the weekend, will see US levies on Chinese imports slashed to 30 per cent, down from 145 per cent by May 14.

Beijing has agreed in turn to reduce the 125 per cent tariff on US goods to 10 per cent by the same deadline.

The revised measures were jointly announced in a statement released by both sides on Monday, which pledged that the parties would “establish a mechanism to continue discussions about economic and trade relations”.

US Treasury secretary Scott Bessent, who led the American side’s negotiations, said, “we had a very robust and productive discussion on steps forward on fentanyl.

“We are in agreement that neither side wants to decouple.”

We dropped our Netflix account years ago. Since we have Amazon Prime, that makes up for it. For the most part, a lot of the movies are good. Have watched a couple that were produced in UAE. Absolutely outstanding. Truly enjoyed.

But Russian movies? After watching three (I should have learned after two hoping the first was a fluke), they are simply unwatchable. Just can't do it.

Watched one Danish movie. It too was very well done.
