In the video he explains how this was a decision by the Government Council for Foreign Affairs and Defence. Not him as a MoD.

"They are just using this as an excuse to place it on Turkey's northern flank"

In the video,he mentions twice that this was a request of the Bulgarian government and after it was agreed upon by the military and government leadership. In the end of the video he stresses it,that this was done at the request of the Bulgarian government.

So,you might as well hand yourself an infaction.

I don't know from which part they will take a system,but supposedly they'll place it somewhere in northeast Greece close to Bulgaria. In order to cover a big part of Bulgaria I guess.

There's a problem here as well as in many other defence purchases the last few years: The purchases are approved by the Parliament,but until the MoD signs the deal,nothing is set in motion. And Dendias isn't signing anything or delays it as much as he can.

For example,the PULS purchase and MLRS upgrade was approved months ago. It still hasn't been officially signed.
The S-100 UAVs for the FDI were ready more than a year ago,the contract still not signed. A contract for just 52(!) missiles for the RAM of the two last Roussen class FACs was just signed. Just signed. Dendias became MoD in summer 2023 and they were just signed. The RIM for the RAM of the FDI have not yet been signed. Imagine,we received the first frigate and we wait for the next two by the end of the year and the deal for their RIM is still not signed. This is why defence fans in Greece are frustrated with him.

and Russia+France+The UK together attacked on the Ottoman Empire between 1821 and 1829
