The status quo? What's the status quo? You invented chains for us. Since the mid-90s you started the theory of grey zones. Ever since then, you've been adding problems on the table. You've been claiming more and more. First it was the SAR zone, then the FIR,then grey zones appeared. After 70 years of calm,if we ignore Cyprus, you started inventing problems. After almost a century, the Treaty of Lausanne "isn't clear". The "islands should not have any military on them".The only threat is to your ego. Keep the status quo and nothing will happen. But you want to test waters and you think your new daddies will protect you.
We moved from SAR and FIR disputes,to Turkey demanding half the Aegean, disputing the greek sovereignity of some 153 islands and islets, making a fuss every time a government official visits an island close to Turkey, claiming an EEZ down to Libya and threatening with open war if Cypriots exploit their gas and oil reserves.
What status quo are you talking about? The one that lets you flourish and prevents us from drilling in our own EEZ? The one that allows Turkey to dictate whether we should have military on our islands when your coast is full of army formations right across? The one that dictates where Greek officials can go to inside their own country?
F*** off. You don't like Yunan getting closer to the Yahood strategically? Well boo hoo.
You don't like it when we're close with the French, you don't like it when we're close with the Americans, you were nagging when we were close with the Egyptians and UAE.
And you shouldn't be trying to lecture me or any other Greek about the latest approachment with the Israelis. You live in the US and your taxes go straight to the machine that funds them. And I doubt you had any problems with them before 2010.
Go nag to the Azeris. I don't see you bitch to them about their close ties to what you call "the entity".
