Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Iraqi Prime Minister Ali al-Zaidi meet in New York and issue joint statement:
- Türkiye and Iraq comprehensively addressed strategic relations and agreed to deepen cooperation in field of security
- Agreement reached on full establishment of state authority in Sinjar and termination of presence of banned foreign armed elements
- In line with Iraq's security progress and agreed timeline, Turkish forces will gradually transfer Bashiqa-Zilkan garrison to Iraqi Federal Government
- Consensus reached on expanding volume of bilateral trade and investment, immediately implementing signed agreements, and accelerating joint strategic projects, particularly Development Road Project
