Turkey, Pakistan, Qatar, and Indonesia forge ‘Badr’ Pact to Jointly Produce Weapons

I think mass production of missiles in Turkiye, Indonesia and Pakistan is vital here. All three also have F-16 replacement issue that KAAN can solve. All 4 countries use Turkish naval ships and present a big market for more. In fact combined defence budgets of all 4 is around $80 Billion. Nothing to be sneezed at....

Turkish tech
Pak manpower
Indonesian industrial base
Qatari cash

Pakistan is signing too many pacts nowadays and at the end of day, nothing fruitful will come out of these defence pacts.
MoUs, pacts & ToTs give nothing to Pakistan because we don't have industrial backbone to absorb anything.
A country building 4th gen fighters in some outdated factory says all about its broken approch towards industry.

Mecca Pact is with big responsibilities like sending troops to foreign countries. Doing war for other countries, things that is pretty difficult to get domestic audience backing

While this defense industry pack is something that demand much less than that while the implementation could potentially create tangible outcome like JV factories, Qatar loan backed defense sales

Countries like Indonesia, Turkiye, Pakistan actually dont need foreign troops, its population has capacity to defend themselves

But things like weapons, ammunitions (when the ammunitions factory inside the county get bombed), components supply, financing support to grow defense industry during peacetime, etc are things that are actually needed in full scale war

Good intentions, inshaAllah it actually generates some products and industries.

If we develop some products it'll be a small success. The real success is developing defence industries that work together to push the boundaries of what is possible.

I want them to build an A-400 type Strategic Airlift project as well, Indonesia has significant aircraft development capability, as does Turkiye, and some work can be offloaded to Pakistan and create a really competitive product.

The Europeans did it with the A-400, France by itself can no longer develop such a project on its own due to costs, but in conjunction with Germany, Spain, Italy and the UK, they are able to compete with the US/Boeing, the same way Airbus is able to dominate despite not being a major power.

An LM2500 dropin replacement for a common ship propulsion design would be another good project to pursue.

Agreed, strategic airlift was never a requirement for Saudi and Pakistan in the past (Turks are in NATO so always needed it)

If this is to go beyond joint production and joint equipment buys we must be able to readily deploy a lot of heavy equipment to both Turks and Saudis. This would mean a lifter able to carry at least a Haider/Altay/M1 tank. Nothing out there can do that now, not even A400 and C-17 no longer in production

There are also scenarios where maybe even mass paratroop drops come fashionable again!

I was also of the opinion since start that Pakistan need to do some cooperation with Turkish defence industry where they transfer some of their prodiction facilities to Pakistan. Say a 5000 acre zone where all the major turkish defence companies have their production lines. This will help in the following ways.

1. The products produced in Pakistan can be sold to Pakistan defence forces or other countries such as ME, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, bangladesh etc

2. It will also give Turkey a backup. Incase of any war in its own region with either Greece or Israel. If Turkish defence plants face damages. The Pakistani plants can still keep supplying them the essential resupplies.

Is there any country that Indonesia has not signed a defence "agreement " with ? I thought they signed one with India as well when they signed the deal to buy Brahmos and other stuff.

Read the thread title. I know you are desperate to insert India into everything but no one gives a shit

Yes, the cards are being reshuffled.
How will Muslim countries spend the next 100 years?
The past 100 years have been miserable for us.
Economically and intellectually exploited by the West and constantly embroiled in many unnecessary fratricidal wars.
This situation will change very soon, those who plan now will help shape the future.
