Turkey Syria - News & Updates

Syria is no longer a sovereign country that is capable of doing anything anymore. The things that make it sovereign, are not there. Syria is now more like Libya than anything else. No one is making war with Israel.

You have not being paying attention. Saudis have been providing a landbridge to Israel to bypass the blockade, they are not going to do anything that is not in the interests of Israel.
It was not like that for at least 13-14 years, nothing has changed.

The change is that Israel has invaded and taken and occupying more Syrian land. As I said, 20 km away from Damascus.

But we'll see what unfolds. Im sceptical Israel will give that back easily.
If not, we'll see if the Syrian Army and militias mounts a counter, if it does not resolve diplomatically.

Btw can anyone explain why the Syrian army abandoned their positions? This is very strange. Its not like they relocated to fight rebels, the SAA surrendered full stop. But for the army to abandon their position and leave Syria wide open for that Zionist predator next door?
And for Assad to flee Syria without even addressing his people?
As I said, what a coward. Can't believe Iran wasted precious resources for that waste of a human.
I doubt that there will be any counter offensive in forseable future for obvious reasons.
Explanation is simple it was paranoic regime were people on position were chosen without merit and removed very quickly, they simply cultivated system worshiping person cult, you remember Assad or we will burn the syria.
Systems like that do not have safety nets as they are beyond artificial by nature, i would say assad one was dystopian.

They lost every single square centimeter of land they grabbed during the last two weeks and on top of that they exited Western Syria. Clearly, Hewal is winning.

Gaza is not landlocked, it has an Arab country on the border with it with over 100 million population.

The only help Gaza received by that Arab Muslim brotherly nation was to their occupier Israel to lay siege and massacre them. Thank you Egypt for being an accomplish to the massacre of my people.

The great Muslim unity did a great job in stopping a genocide.

Whether you like it or not, Iran and Hezbollah were the only parties to help Gaza.

@UKBengali

I often wonder, throughout the day, what goes on inside the minds of these leaders and how they can carry on their daily activities with a straight face.

I don't want to say it: I'm sure Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is turning in his grave.

Ain't this guy, who said Russia will punish Turkey, this and that like a day ago. Apperently he spoke on Turkish tv channel and had to reduce his tone.

Also, i don't think nobody took his coping rants for serious.

Edit: I was not aware of this thread here and followed the whole stuff in the ME section with some lunatics. Gonna follow Syria from this thread now on.

This is just historical information that may provide some hint as to why some leaders may be reluctant to get involved:
Black September (Arabic: أيلول الأسود Aylūl al-ʾAswad), also known as the Jordanian Civil War, was an armed conflict between Jordan, led by King Hussein, and the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), led by chairman Yasser Arafat.

On 6 October 1981, Anwar Sadat, the 3rd President of Egypt, was assassinated during the annual victory parade held in Cairo to celebrate Operation Badr, during which the Egyptian Army had crossed the Suez Canal and taken back the Sinai Peninsula from Israel at the beginning of the Yom Kippur War. The assassination was undertaken by members of the Egyptian Islamic Jihad. Although the motive has been debated, Sadat's assassination likely stemmed from Islamists who opposed Sadat's peace initiative with Israel and the United States relating to the Camp David Accords.

The Palestinian exodus from Kuwait took place during and after the Gulf War. There were approximately 357,000 Palestinians living in Kuwait before the country was invaded by neighboring Iraq on 2 August 1990. On August 10, 20 Arab League countries at an emergency summit in Cairo drafted a final statement that condemned the Iraqi invasion of Kuwait and supported the United Nations resolutions. Twelve Arab states supported the use of force while the remaining eight, including the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), rejected a military solution to the Iraqi invasion. According to The Washington Post, classified U.S. reports indicated that then-PLO leader Yasser Arafat pressed then Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein to make his withdrawal from Kuwait conditional on the withdrawal of Israel from the West Bank, Gaza Strip and Golan Heights, and on August 12, Saddam announced his offer to conditionally withdraw. The Kuwaiti government policy which led to this exodus was a response to the position taken by the PLO.

I have an SOP: never get into any "conversation" with folks from India, Iran, and Israil. I've learnt it from my conjugal life.....

I have no issue with Bashar being removed from power, I always said he was a criminal. The issue is that you kick him out of power and then have no plan in place to prevent Israel from taking Syrian territory. That is complete incompetence, the worst part is that so far not even a whimper has been said against this. The problem with the Muslim world, we lack foresight and are ruled by incompetent pawns.
after decades one muslim nation fought successful war for freedom against all political military odds and got the chance to do things properly along their own faith, traditions and society fabric, that took huge toll and please give them some space but of course keeping all concerns you mentioned, they are not fools and maniacs presented to international public by media and other specific propaganda efforts.
i know that is hard for you as palestinian to live under constant occupation without means to resist it but as palestinian occupation is problem of muslim world, jews occupation is propped by western world lead by usa which complicate help almost beyond human understanding, all i know that you got new and genuine friend neighborhood who will not use you as pawn but treat you brotherly within their capabilities and realities of syrian strength.
