So - it is all over it seems? All areas, except those occupied by Israel, are now under the control of the state ?
Getting hold of the oilfields is significant as far as economic regeneration goes.

ensuring the privacy of Kurdish areas
Approval of a list of names nominated by SDF for appointment within the Syrian state
It's Rojover. Unless they **** around again, then we just finish off what we started a few hours ago. They were always a paper tiger. So - it is all over it seems? All areas, except those occupied by Israel, are now under the control of the state ?

Because the Cold War was over,Russia was poor and in disarray. There were new dynamics. China was still not as rich and powerful. USA invades Afghanistan,Iraq,Germany had reunified. New countries emerging.Crazy how the US just threw their 'allies' under the bus. To be honest, I never understood those people who genuinely believed Washington would pick a ragtag militia over the second largest standing military in NATO with influence in the Middle East, Africa, Balkans, Caucasus, Central Asia and the Mediterranean/Black Sea.
It just didn't add up for me.
I'm still not convinced, though, that the SDF base is going to accept the agreement simply because too many PKK elements are hidding among their ranks but I remain hopeful.

The great thing about those, is that they are so non-specific, we have complete discretion how to implement them. Thats the genius of this agreement imo. We never promised anything explicit, but they have to concede everything immediately, including their militia, the very basis of their power, and their quest for autonomy, and all the territory they had under control. This is a big win for united Syria if it gets implemented quickly. These two I'm still suspicious of, but lets see how it plays out.
The major elements are there though, like the border, oil, central governance(from the looks of it), management of the Al Hawl camp and other areas by the govt(taking away the leverage from the PKK), adding of people to security forces on an individual basis and based on vetting. local Security force under the ministry of interior.

There's already opposition among SDF sources. They claim the agreement is unilateral and not agreed by the SDF.It's Rojover. Unless they **** around again, then we just finish off what we started a few hours ago. They were always a paper tiger.
I'm sure there is. But some will undoubtedly be in support, which divides an already weak group into a weaker one. Once they try something, then we can finish the job with the ones that don't honour the agreement. Should be easier and less bloody than continuing the current offensive either way, and still enforcing this deal at the end. There's already opposition among SDF sources.
