To the Assad regime, regional Kurd were second class people (expendible), regional Kurd were left with no choice but to fend for themselves when ISIL movement began. The US supported the SDF bloc because the ISIL forces would have wiped out regional Kurd (Operation Inherent Resolve). But Assad regime is history and Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa have granted full rights to regional Kurd.

The US and Turkey are now on the same page for unifying Syria under Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa. To Turkish members: this is why strategic patience is important. It can pay off at the right time. It is important to understand and address local grievances correctly.

The SDF now have no choice but to disband and accept current Syrian leadership under Ahmad al-Sharaa.

I do not share his ideology but he did all of that.

There's no doubt about it, these are the individuals that Erdoğan brought into existence due to his tolerance towards DEM. Tweets and protests like this would have been unthinkable 20 years ago. He needs to abandon the peace process ASAP.
