Turkey Syria - News & Updates

Prove it.

100K+, mainly Gazan civilians have died in Gaza over just 1 year and maybe 500K have died in total in Syria over 10 times the time period - military and civilians
Let's say your claim of 500k is correct (I doubt it), you are taking a derivative of the number of casualties wrt time. Why? Why is civilian tragedy a function of time? Does it become less or more tragic with time?

According to a reporting by Haber Global, the Turkish armored vehicles are rolling into Syria. Wishing them a good hunting season. Finish these terrorists. Opportunity knocks but once....

As the other poster was comparing the two situations as being equal.

Many times more civilians are losing their lives in Gaza compared to Syria every month.

Like I said, they will fight tooth and nail.

worth keeping in mind they are primarily directed by America. So any organised movement from these guys is basically US orders. Armed, trained and led by the USA. Obviously they are also big allies of the sectarian trouble makers iran/assad. But its only the USA that can make them move in any meaningful way.

The Russians are bombing christian places. lol

they did the same in Ukraine, you expect murderers to care about religious buildings? Before invading Ukraine they were talking about how the Ukrainians are their brothers, the same people. Didn't stop them from targeting civilians relentlessly.

So if you can see what they are doing to their "brothers" you can only imagine what they did to the syrians.

Why Turks are cheering for HTS?Is there any genuine guarantee by HTS to eliminate PKK terrorists from the liberated lands of Syria ?

Well the PKK pocket in Tal rifaat fell precisely b/c of this offensive. Allowing Turkish SNA forces to take the area, allowing the pressure on the Northern Azaz/Jarabulus pocket of concentrated refugees to get relief, as well as creating potential conditions for those in Syria to return.

This offensive has benefitted Turkey in two way, firstly, before this offensive, Assad was feeling cocky and thought he could dictate everything in negotiations. He thought he had won, so felt no hesitance in violating Astana and bombing Idlib and trying to empty it out and push all the people into Turkey. Its one of the reasons as to why this offensive happened in the first page.

The second benefit of this offense, besides the refugees getting to go home, and more surface area to allow for people to return, the big benefit it did was that it disleveled the Russians in Northern Syria, they were there guarding the PKK, and not allowing Turkey to go after the PKK, and while its not a matter of force, obviously Turkey could have overpowered them, but killing Russians would create tensions and problems, so it wasn't an option.

The Russians withdrawing allows for Turkey to go after the PKK with the SNA taking their positions and pushing them out, this offense has rattled the entire Russian front line in the north, they have left tal rifat, which just fell, they have left Manbij, and even in North Central Syria, both the regime and Russia are withdrawing. Clearing up so many issues.

@Waz can you change the thread place and change to Arab defence or Middle East&Africa because it isn't directly related to Turkish Military Operations

That is what I'm asking, why is the rate of change of civilian deaths the deciding factor in ranking tragedies? In other words, why are these tragedies in Palestine and Syria a function of time?

You simply are not getting it for some reason

The other poster that I replied to was saying the two situations are similar, when I have stated that the scale of one is much larger than the other - around 10x at least civilians per month on average are being slaughtered in Gaza compared to Syria.
