Assad's soldiers are still retreating

They will discuss how best to create a balance so to limit civilian casualties

If nothing is discussed their is worry, Christian and alewite communities being targeted and being forced to leave the country

What's happening in Syria, is exactly why the Arab states were so quiet on Gaza, they were more worried about Iran and it's growing and expanding proxy power rather then the Zionists and we're willing to punish Hamas and the people of Palestine to get Iran out,

This rebel push can't happen overnight, it's been in the planning for a while
I disagree. Rebels have been preparing for years. Assad stopped getting big support from resistance axis due to him offering investments to UAE and other Arab nations. And also his loyalty more to Russia.

Minorities aren't under any threat. Actually they're dominating and killing the majority in Syria. And they have regional and other superpowers behind them to prevent a Sunni Islamist movement from ruling Syria. Not because they are threat to minorities, they aren't. It's because they're won't slave themselves to Arabs, Iran, Russia, Israel , or the US. Like Hamas.

Which is why Hamas was besieged from all sides and ultimately given false promises by resistance axis that abandoned them at the onset of the battle. (They didn't honor their side of agreement). I'm not concerned with resistance axis anymore. And I also don't expect or want rebels to start a fight with Israel. Rebels have the heart for the fight but Syria is not in shape for it at all. And Golan heights is a losing battle for to terrain and enemy advantage. Resistance axis on other hand is mostly propaganda and unwillingness to fight the fight. So I don't care about them anymore. Palestinains have to be realistic and try to attain long term ceasefire in Gaza. And protect West Bank. Stuff in region has nothing to do with us. We can only spectate what happens.

>It is not clear whether the armed factions’ decision to stay out of the battles in Syria is tactical or strategic, and it is also too early to say that it is a final decision, although all the commanders have informed their fighters not to travel there.

>Some officials and faction commanders told MEE that since the war on Gaza began, Assad had distanced himself from the Axis of Resistance, “throwing himself into the arms of the Russians”, and suspicions that Syrian agents had helped Israel kill Hezbollah leaders had “cast a shadow over the decision”.

>Assad is arrogant and disconnected from reality. He has not made any concessions to his people over the past years and has not sought to resolve the crisis,” an armed faction commander told MEE from Syria."

“Instead, he rebelled against the Iranians and threw himself into the arms of the Russians. He deserves an ear pinch.”

hehehe, now the dirt is coming out. "Anti Zionist" Assad tried ditching the Iranian militias right before the Rebel Offensive. Looks like the UAE backroom deal to lift sanctions and get GCC money in exchange for cutting off Iran was true.

This is not realistic, tribes around Euphrate already ditched them and rebels sent reinforcements from their ranks there. No way that they will allow kurds to rule over their lands now when current regime is gone.
I just translated his Twitter post. It's good to see all perspectives and concerns. I think his concern is not misplaced. But I don't know how it will play out.

Syria HTS political bureau addresses Russian and Chinese expatriates, including diplomatic delegations, telling them they will be treated with respect "our war is not with you [...] we have the ambition to have good relations"

People are so eager to return to their homes. Reminder that Assad refused to let Syrian refugees return to their own homes due to them being Sunni.

And people wonder why the Syrians hate Assad.

Israel - Iran - US - Arab states are all on same side when it comes to Syria. Just embarrassed to admit it so each creates a different picture. All want to prevent Islamist movements takeover of Syria.

Israel is shy to admit it prefers Assad and opposes rebels so it uses different language:

Israeli media quoting security sources:

We will help the Kurds and Druze in Syria if they are in danger

They are not Islamists but a bunch of donkeys giving ride to occultists, cabalists and pagans of western world.

They are a threat to holy lands in KSA and Iraq. A threat to the whole region but a bless to Israel.

Everyone is trying to take over Syria. US is trying to cut a deal with Assad regime and offer protection for it. If it meets the conditions, of course:

..

CNN quoting a senior US official: An organized coup against the Assad regime is the only thing that can delay the opposition's control

Already a coup attempt. You see this is why Syria will be bogged down in a civil war. Because people from outside that didn't do heavy lifting want to take over Syria and all government positions and turn it into something like Jordan but much weaker economically and even less military privileges (they won't be allowed to have any weapons).
