Arab media and governments are trying already to complicate the political transition process. They won't give Syrians any time to process the events or draw up a constitution and plan. They're going to try force a US-Israel lackey leadership into place as quickly as possible despite the country not being secured yet. And they will force HTS out of political transition process.

Turkey will be getting quite a bit of the rebuilding contracts. I think the money will come from Qatar, and lets see if the Saudis pitch in. Either way, once the oil fields are taken back from the PKK, Syrians can fund themselves to a degree. Not to mention the stability and return of people hopefully gets the economy going.

Assad/Iranian axis were never a challenge to Isreal let alone the west. The fact a few rag tag rebels can be organised by Turkiye and sweep the country in a few days shows the illusion the Iranians were selling the world. Just like their "firework" shows over Isreal to compensate for the fact they used the Palestinians and ran them into the ground.

Best thing that can happen to Syria a land in which the Turks removed the crusaders from and a land ruled by Turks for much of the last 1200 year until they collaborated with the westerners against the Ottoman Turks, is to fall back under Turkish influence. The Turkish army can build them up and provide them with top tier weaponry. Turn them into a serious force.

Maybe then 25 years from now a Turkiye and Syria united just as they were for much of the last 1200 years can stabilise the region.

But at the end of the day Turkiye had legitimate security concerns in Syria, all they had to do was respect Turkish concerns in the north and this all could have been avoided. But now its imperative that the Turks remove the sectarian trouble makers from the nation of Syria. We can already see the Iranians are coming to terms with the new reality, they are going to have to sit on this one.

Despite all the wishful thinking from many of the sectarian supporters of this forum, your boys have been entirely defeated and so easily by the Turk.
