Turkey Syria - News & Updates

No, in your previous posts, you clearly supported Assad and the Iranian militias and criticized Turkey's stance. Now, you are giving political answers in response to a justified criticism. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Peace bro
I still am critical with Turkeys stance. Allowing oil to flow that they controlled was IMO wrong and more should have been done.
Assad and Iran made numerous errors - Assad initially was
The best for Syria but I guess the power cap got too big for him and his stance was
Self gratifying.
Supporting Iranian militia has never been my stance.

@hyperman

What do you say about Assad when he gived sponsorship to Al Qaeda in Iraq, remember Zarqawie. Assad turned in to a hero but 15 years ago these secterians cursed Assad for this ahaha. I think most to the posters are kids back in the day. They have grown but do not now about ahaha.

There were people who went from Syria to Iraq but that wasn't really b/c of Assad. Assad's father backed Iran in the Iraqi Iranian war. There were significant tensions between the Iraqi Sunni baathists and the Syrian Alawite Baathists. While Assad on paper did oppose the invasion and there were tensions with the US and accusations, he wasn't completely in the Iraqi opposition camp, as many of those elements also posed a threat to him in Syria. Assad does what he always did, he hedges, never completely joining one side. The Hedging game he played between the Israelis and Iran as well.

Assad was not the best for the Syrian people he should have left back in 2011 wasting Iranian, Russian, and other peoples resources. He was weak and he never belonged. Syria will finally grow much stronger with Turkish backing. His army was also obsolote just watch in 3-4 years time Turkey will make Syria out of a regional power with NATO standard like Azerbaijan look how well Turkey armed and trained Azerbaijan and Syria is much bigger with bigger population hence it would be much better.

Syria lucked out with Turkey as their elder sibling. Because when the Turks help you they truly help they are never half-hearted.

I wish we could get as close to Syria as we are to Azerbaijan, but I doubt we can achieve this. Many people will want to disrupt it, and politicians might be weak against external pressures. Being Turkey's brother is not easy; everyone who dislikes Turkey will pressure.

Our brotherly relationship with Azerbaijan is actually the result of our peoples wanting it.

I wish Syria could become a second Azerbaijan, but this will be a major test for those who govern Syria.

Turkey has helped us alot and we will never forget it. Since the Seljuk era the Turks where helping us that is more then 1000 years. Remember Nureddin Zengi these were the times hence the Turks always fought beside us.

The Arabic states are more selfish then Turkey as the turks are more generous in help. Turks have always been more generous then Arabs this is common knowledge not saying Arabs won´t help many has offered help but turks are generally more generous since ancient times.

Turkey has promised to build our defense industry and army plus do the heavy work in the reconstruction. Turkey is one of the nations who does most construction works worldwide today only 2nd to China. Places like Aleppo, Homs, Hama, Daraa and Eastern Ghouta will be rebuild within 3 years entirely with Syrian money and Turkish construction companies will win the contracts.

I don´t see any political element that can force us or come in between us. The First people who prayed in the Umayyad Mosque were MIT and Ibrahim Kalin.

I don´t see anyone who can come in between them. The hardest part is behind them now as they will begin to govern and so far it has been good with the international support and everyone is visiting there

Mazloum Abdi has been misleading the people in the SDF area who are tired of wars and the Kurdish people there as well. Hope he realizes this is the end and there is no way out. PKK should leave and the remaining elements should be disbanded and rolled into the Syrian army

Mods can you change the Syrian flag it is outdated

I think they are waiting for Unicode to do the update. so either we will have to wait for that, or someone updates it via a custom update.

I know Samsung updated it already, but Apple has not yet done so.

I think @Waz or Mr.X could probably help with that via something custom?

NEW: Biden revised the executive order issued during Türkiye’s 2019 Peace Spring Operation in Syria, removing all references to Türkiye.

The original Executive Order 13894, signed by then-President Donald Trump on October 14, 2019, imposed sanctions on Türkiye for its military operation in northern Syria.

The sanctions targeted:— Türkiye’s Ministry of National Defense and Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources.— Senior officials, including Defense Minister Hulusi Akar, Energy Minister Fatih Dönmez, and Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu.

Following the operation’s conclusion, Trump lifted these sanctions on October 23, 2019. However, Türkiye’s removal from the executive order entirely was a longstanding request by Ankara, now fulfilled under Biden’s revision.

somehow I'm more suspicious of this than anything, why lift them now? Are they trying to make a deal?

It's hilarious, suddenly there's a "Farhan" from Pakistan/USA and an "Assyrian" from Syria/Australia,both Ertugrul fanboys and both appearing on the same day.
