Turkey to build bomb shelters across the country

Although my nationalist side finds bunker construction appealing, my logical side considers bunker construction outside of major cities to be pointless.

It would be enough to build bunkers in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Konya, and cities near important military bases and defense industry facilities. The cities I mentioned already host many military bases, and all of them have defense industry companies and production facilities. Most of the remaining cities simply have no military value.

Unless a total war is declared against NATO countries and a nuclear annihilation event is triggered, Türkiye will not be subjected to a nuclear strike. Even during the Cold War, the nuclear targets on Türkiye’s territory were precisely the cities and NATO bases I listed. Even if Israel were to attack, it would strike these cities and facilities. It wouldn’t hit irrelevant cities there’s no point.

And Pakistan also needs nuclear bunkers; at the very least, they should build them in major cities. Countries with nuclear capabilities are the ones truly at risk. Especially if your enemy also has nuclear capabilities, not building these bunkers would be foolish.
If I bring prophetic words and texts from the Byzantine times to the 90s in the discussion, will it be boring? Because it's specifically about Turkey.

Which satelite is not hard, they are all registered and tracked, so any above your orbit you know exactly when they will pass over.

With regards to precedence, the tech exists, its just that it hasn't been used b/c the people that have it(China and Russia), are not at war with the US, so have never deployed it.

Here is how these dazzlers look.

they are positioned on the ground and fire a lazer at the satelite, blinding it temporarily so its optical sensors can't pick stuff up.
I am not sure Iran is in a position to be blinding US spy satellites

they also have extensive ground based radars throughout the region (including likely in Turkey)

yes, but thats when its already in the air, its not a detection at launch, i.e. no optical or heat signature of a launch(neutralizing the SBIRS system).

If you launch it on a Depressed trajectories it becomes harder to track as well.

Ultimately no system is undetectable, b/c they have so many sensors and a layered element, but those 2 elements, silo launch and dazzlers alone would delay reaction time significantly.

I saw a video from Patarames, that Iran is building silos and the revolved type launch system. Idk if it has matured or if they used it in the 12 day exchange, but here is the video.

Well, if we’re jumping back in time, why not throw in some words from the Seljuk Empire too? Could make things even more interesting.

But let’s not go too far back if we dive into the histories of Greece and Turkey, we’d have to dig to the depths of humanity. Who knows, we might even be throwing stones at each other there!

Don't you think the moment you try to blind a satellite the alarm bells would start ringing. The whole region under the us influence will go on a high alert situation.

Yeah but by the time they figure out the matter, the missiles would be launched, and they wouldn't notice until its in the air already. The Satellites would not know the timing for the setting up for launch and detect the launch or its timing.

You can also set off alarms by triggering the blinding of the satellite, force them to launch counter maneuvers assets thinking its a real launch, only to exhaust and reveal their counter maneuvers. If you do it sporadically, they have no clue if its a spoof/false alarm or the real thing, making things uncertain, and when the real launch happens, they are not expecting it with maximum readyness.

The problem with nuclear explosions going off in your city is not just the shockwave aur the heat..its the immense radiation you will endure after the blast...the subway systems of RUSSIA,JAPAN, or even DPRK are very deep but don't have capable cbrn filteration systems to deal with the threat....the large populations of our countries makes it impossible for us to make these facilities and stack them up with freeze dried foods...there are two countires in this world that can accommodate and save its whole population in an event of a nuke attack..its FINLAND and SWISS...
reasons are:
1)smaller population
2)finlands constant fear of a soviet/russian attack and the neutrality in case of swiss
3)experince due to cold war....and the influence of strong economies...
the subways and metros are good only for protection against a conventional war as we have seen in ukraine...also the reaction times also come into play...

If this online forum had more expertise than professional engineers in this field, then I think the world will come here for expertise because all of us think better than them?

There are multiple types of underground facilities. One's are built to provide safety during a general war, from missiles and artillery, etc. Then some nations might go beyond TNT blast resistance to nuclear threshold, like Israel has because they want to protect as much of their population as possible. The build of these facilities makes them "locked" for a few weeks in case of a nuclear attack.
Then there are the mil-spec strategic facilities that are built for any blast protection and deep underground that almost every nuclear nation has around their nuclear arsenal's protection. These are much more hardened and secured beyond the above two mentioned. That's what Iran had and to take these out, you needed special purpose ammo like the GBU-57.

that was a brilliant documentary

love how at the entrance you have to walk over the Israeli flag

Iran dedicated all its resources to fighting Israel and from a offensive point of view they did well

they just need better defence

In any war between Turkey and "Israel," Turkey is getting dropped by NATO fast.
No, NATO would fracture, but Turkey wouldn't be dropped.

Now more than ever, there are NATO nations questioning the strategic relevance of Israel to Europe and the Americas. In other words, they're finding that Israel really doesn't offer much value for what the Europeans are having to spend on its defense and economy.

Smart move.
Imagine the amount of casualties isreal would have had if there were no bomb shelters. Look at the large areas of residential areas wiped out by irani missiles.
But those bomb shelters will be useless without effective early warning systems.

Turkey would be:

A. Pulverized by a majority NATO/EE countries and torn apart.
B. Undergo a forced regime change.
C. Heavy sanctions, war AND regime change.

Turks think their strategic location and Armed Forces are important to NATO. But once they get over certain lines, they become more of a burden that needs to be dealt with.

If Turks become a serious threat for Israel or a hindrance to NATO plans in the region, they will take action.

Delusional at best, naive at worst.

No one is going to go to war against Turkey for Israel's sake. NATO won't wholly fight for Israel against Turkey.

This is just bad logic, because it supposes that Israel is far more important to NATO than Turkey, and that Turkey will actively go against NATO interests in such a way that NATO would be forced to go to war.

You forget that Jews basically control most NATO countries.

If Israel uses nuclear weapons against Turkey, NATO will not help Turkey, and most NATO countries will even secretly help Israel. Do you really think NATO is more important to the United States than Israel? Do you really think other NATO countries will go to war with Israel and the United States over Turkey?
