Turkish Air Defence Programs

The Hunter UAV TUNGA-X, developed by STM, successfully destroyed an enemy UAV element with pinpoint accuracy during the TURNAs-2026 exercise, thanks to radar and image-guided integration.

During the TURNAs-2026 Unmanned Naval Systems Exercise carried out by the Turkish Naval Forces Command in the Gulf of Antalya and the Eastern Mediterranean, STM's Hunter UAV TUNGA-X successfully completed its mission to intercept a simulated enemy UAV element. With the support of radar and image guidance, TUNGA-X tracked its target and destroyed the enemy UAV element in mid-air with a precise strike.

National Hunter UAV Reaching Speeds of 300 Kilometers Per Hour

Developed by STM, the TUNGA-X is designed to protect critical facilities and military units, especially against low-cost kamikaze UAV threats. The system, which can reach speeds of 300 kilometers per hour, works integrated with UAV detection radars to track threats in real time. Standing out with its autonomous target tracking based on image processing and precision strike capabilities, TUNGA-X offers a cost-effective prevention solution against asymmetric aerial threats.

Thanks to its vertical takeoff feature that does not require a launcher, TUNGA-X can start missions from different platforms and operate both day and night. With an operational range of up to 25 kilometers, the system aims to contribute to Turkey's defense capabilities against unmanned aerial threats with its autonomous mission abilities and advanced sensors.
