Let's take simple examples: the Gulf states will not receive Typhoon fighters. America itself will not fulfill any future fighter jet supply contracts with any Islamic country—neither F-16s nor F-35s. France and Britain will supply fighters within months, but these will be solely to meet their own needs, and many contracts that haven't been delivered or are in the early stages of delivery will be canceled. The only temporarily available source of fighters is China, and even China might withdraw them if tensions escalate in Southeast Asia. Engine projects require years to mature; the only remaining option is to rely solely on local capabilities and existing platforms.

You're absolutely right, especially regarding the development of high-performance jet engines. Developing these engines is both a very time-consuming and very expensive process.

From what I read today,Turkey will receive the first Eurofighters from Britain in 2030-2031
and no deal has been actually signed with Qatar or Oman yet. On the other hand,USA is having problems delivering radars for the F-35.

The stupid mofos made the Radar too big. lol, it doesn't fit in the nose, so either you redesign the nose or make the radar smaller, but making the radar smaller is hard without compromising performance. Making the nose smaller is easier on new jets, but retrofitting older jets is much harder.

Add to that, the Chinese have been squeezing the rare earth supply. lol
